Background & History

First Prince of Tiangong

Hua Ye was the eldest son of Angel King Hua Que. His birth order granted him exceptional status, resources, followers, and support from major Tiangong officials, including his uncle, Right Wing King He Zheng 2 11. Despite these advantages, he was known for tyranny, greed, and indulgence in pleasure rather than governance 2 6.

His principal rival for succession was Second Prince Hua Tuo. Hua Tuo's discovery of Dark Sacred Silver and development of superior weapons earned Hua Que's favor and control of the Construction Department, leaving Hua Ye openly jealous and resentful 17. Hua Ye was nevertheless ordered to cooperate with Hua Tuo in locating further Dark Sacred Silver deposits 17.

Conflict with Hua Zhen

Hua Ye regarded Third Prince Hua Zhen as both an insult to his authority and a potential rival. He repeatedly provoked Hua Zhen and sought to exploit his relative lack of political backing in Tiangong 10 12. After targeting Hua Zhen's maid Lian Xi, Hua Ye was decisively beaten and severely injured by Hua Zhen in front of their retainers 68 69.

As Hua Zhen's technological influence and military power grew, Hua Ye became increasingly fearful of him. The destruction of Hua Ye's research base and the death of his trusted subordinate Su Ma Li left Hua Ye shaken enough to consider abandoning the succession struggle, though He Xuan convinced him to continue 198.

Seizure of Tiangong

Hua Ye assassinated Hua Que, killed He Zheng, and seized Tiangong's throne for himself 257. His reign shifted Tiangong toward extreme indulgence and repression, with his personal desires taking priority over administration 257 501.

Hua Ye was eventually overthrown by the Female Angels led by Kesha and went into hiding for approximately 30,000 years after the Rage Sea conflict 506 552. He retained substantial Old Tiangong resources and later used them to rebuild his power base.

Return as the Ancient Evil God

After re-emerging, Hua Ye gathered former followers, attacked Hua Xiong's Sub-Angel Civilization, and sought Karl's aid to regain power 506. Karl provided Fourth Generation Divine Body technology and later equipped him with the Black Hole Engine, enabling Hua Ye to challenge major powers directly 525 547.

Hua Ye launched campaigns to restore the Tiangong Order, expanding his Heaven Dregs faction by rewarding submissive civilizations and treating weaker allies as expendable forces 525 649. His assaults on Earth, Merlot Heavenly City, New Lieyang, and Freyja repeatedly brought him into conflict with Yan, Ruo Ning, Hua Ying, Kesha, and Hua Zhen 551 626 637 643.

Appearance

Hua Ye was initially depicted as a young man in luxurious clothing, with thin lips, parted hair, slanted eyes, a hooked nose, and thin eyebrows 11. After tens of thousands of years, he appeared closer to a middle-aged man, with a slightly bulging belly beneath ornate armor 506.

Hua Ye is arrogant, hedonistic, and intensely status-conscious. He expects obedience because of his royal bloodline, reacts badly to humiliation, and regularly treats women as possessions to be claimed or rewarded 501 551 552. His emotions are readily visible; jealousy, rage, fear, and satisfaction are usually apparent on his face 17 198.

He is opportunistic rather than visionary. Hua Ye prefers inherited resources, ready-made technology, and stronger patrons such as Karl over independent research or long-term development 530 623. Although capable of recruiting followers and exploiting political resentment, he repeatedly avoids stronger opponents, targets weaker factions, and abandons subordinates when his own survival is threatened 525 637 665.

Usurpation and Fall

After killing Hua Que and He Zheng, Hua Ye becomes Angel King and establishes a hedonistic Tiangong Order 257 501. His regime is later overthrown by the Female Angels, forcing him into a long period of concealment 501 506.

Heaven Dregs Revival

Hua Ye returns with Karl's support, upgrades to a Fourth Generation God, forms a growing Heaven Dregs coalition, and declares his intent to restore Old Tiangong rule across the Known Universe 525 547.
