The spacecraft flew into the planet's interior, and all they could see was a dazzling riot of colorful light.
It was as though they were inside a Wisteria Ball woven by some transcendent being. Only, this "Wisteria Ball" was unimaginably enormous. There was land and rivers here, yet no sky or stars could be seen. The light came from "fruits" growing on the vine-covered branches of the Wisteria Ball, their multicolored radiance beautiful and romantic.
The vegetation here far outnumbered the open spaces. Everything was thick-trunked and luxuriant, either tangled together or standing tall like ancient pines.
Massive, gnarled root systems had risen above the ground, reaching more than a hundred meters high. The leaves were even more extraordinary, floating softly through the air like emerald gauze. Light spilled over them and reflected into a hazy glow, making one feel as though one had entered a fairy tale.
Thick vines formed countless primitive bridges between the trees. The spacecraft weaved among them, tiny as a moth. It was both wondrous and magnificent, an overwhelmingly powerful
