Background / History

Lin Shu awakened in the Soul Master Continent after transmigrating from Earth into the body of the Langya Auction House's young heir. The original Lin Shu had been poisoned after rashly attempting to contact the empire in response to his father’s death. 1

His father, Lin Langya, was ambushed and killed while seeking to register with the Yaoquan Empire. Lin Shu initially suspected Langya Hall; later revelations established that members of Langya Hall, the Hammer Heaven Sect, and Stone Gate had jointly participated in the ambush over a treasure connected to the auction house. 1 29 38

After inheriting the auction house, Lin Shu received the God-tier Auction System and summoned the Three Hundred Titled Douluo Guard Company. He used this force to purge the First Elder, Second Elder, and their supporters, securing control of the Langya Auction House. 3 5

Lin Shu expanded from the Eastern Martial Region into the Central Martial Region, annihilated Langya Hall, and converted its former headquarters into the Heavenly Pavilion. The Langya Auction House subsequently operated under the Pavilion's authority. 27 36 40

Personality

Lin Shu began as an inexperienced heir consumed by anger over his father’s death, but his transmigration and near-death experience made him more deliberate. He refuses to pursue revenge recklessly and prefers to investigate, prepare, and strike only after securing overwhelming strength. 1 29

He is decisive and ruthless toward enemies, ordering purges, executions, and the destruction of hostile factions when he considers their involvement proven.
