Background / History

Langya Auction House began as a top auction house in Langya City, within the Eastern Martial Region’s Savage Martial Land. It was founded by Lin Langya, a descendant of a former Langya Hall core disciple, and operated as a subordinate of Langya Hall. In exchange for its protection, the auction house surrendered nearly eighty percent of its annual revenue as tribute. 1 7

When the Yaoquan Empire offered protection for a ten-percent tax, Lin Langya attempted to register the auction house with the empire. He was ambushed en route; Lin Langya and a protecting elder were killed, while more than thirty powerful guards were killed or injured. The attack crippled the auction house’s standing, triggered an internal struggle for control, and left it exposed to provocations from rival forces. 1

Lin Shu inherited the house after his father’s death. He purged elders and senior personnel who challenged his authority, then used the arrival of three hundred Title Douluo guards to restore the house’s security and credibility. 3 6

The house’s conflict with Langya Hall escalated when its envoys arrived to demand tribute and investigate a mysterious item. Lin Shu’s subordinates crippled the envoys, after which Langya Auction House formally cut ties with Langya Hall. 8 9

After Lin Shu destroyed Langya Hall, its headquarters in Tianding City became the Heavenly Pavilion. Langya Auction House was retained as a core institution under the new organization, with Lin Ye overseeing it. 40

Locations and Branches

  • Original main branch: Langya City, Savage Martial Land, Eastern Martial Region. 1
  • Early network: Nearly one hundred branches across the Land of Barbarian Martial Hundred Cities. 27
  • Heavenly City main venue: The former Langya Hall auction house in the eastern part of Heavenly City; it can hold 100,000 guests and contains 300 private rooms across five floors. 60
  • Tianhe Continent venue: A suspended auction house serving attendees from the Tianhe Divine Realm and Heavenly Sword Divine Realm. 167
  • Juntian Divine Court branch: Approved by envoy Wan Jun after negotiations with Lin Shu. 171
  • Eighth Region venue: A specially created small world was prepared to accommodate enormous divine and cosmic beings. 182

Operations and Rules

Auction Standards

  • The house initially accepted only Gold Soul Coins and Soul Crystals; barter was prohibited. 12
  • Later auctions used Divine Crystals for high-tier divine and cosmic lots. 135 185
  • The highest bidder wins, but bidding must remain free from coercion or intimidation. 12
  • Rule-breakers may be permanently blacklisted or executed in severe cases. 12
  • The house permits on-site consignments from bidders seeking additional funds, but charges a 20% commission. 185
  • It accepts bids regardless of a bidder’s clan or reputation, provided that the bidder follows the auction rules and can pay. 203

Security and Enforcement

  • Thirty Title Douluo publicly appeared at the first major post-purge auction, immediately silencing the venue. 12
  • The house’s security force is associated with Lin Shu’s three hundred Title Douluo guards. 3
  • Thunder God Hall was permanently expelled after secretly coordinating with other factions to undermine bidding for the Thunder Divinity Core. Seven Kill Valley and Life God Hall had their bidding rights revoked for that lot. 132
  • During a later auction, a Heavenly Pavilion Half-step Creator God prevented immediate violence against an Abyssal Clan bidder by invoking the auction house’s rules. 213
  • By the Eighth Region auctions, Third-, Second-, and First-Rank Gods were no longer eligible to enter; even Transcendent God-tier beings required a recommendation. 181

Auctioneers and Appraisal

  • Su Qian was hired as Chief Auctioneer after presenting a seventh-level Treasure Appraisal Token. 10
  • As a Seventh-level Appraiser, Su Qian can assess the value of consigned treasures and negotiate with potential consignors. 11
  • Su Qian publicly guaranteed the authenticity of a Hundred-Thousand-Year Demonic Soul Shark Soul Ring, swearing that the house would repay one hundred times the final price if it proved false. 64
