Weak Fullbringers can barely manipulate any reishi, while powerful ones, like Aura Michibane in the official novel Can't Fear Your Own World, can use Reishi Manipulation to achieve a 'mistification' ability that almost ignores physical attacks, akin to elementalization, and a Kidō ability that Urahara Kisuke said could rival Aizen's.

Originally, Araki's Reishi Manipulation was only at the lowest level, LV1. But now, with Araki having contracted Unohana Yachiru—a woman described by Szayelaporro Granz, who climbed out of hell in the Jigoku-hen, as possessing one of the most powerful Spiritual Pressures—
