Araki exposed Aizen’s schemes, prepared the Soul Society for Yhwach’s invasion, and led the forces that fought the Quincy across Seireitei and the Soul King Palace. After Yhwach overcame successive opponents, Araki and his daughters joined their Bankai to defeat and imprison him.

• Aizen revealed that he had watched Ichigo since birth and fought him, while battles spread across Las Noches and Mayuri’s group confronted Picaro.
• Araki defeated Aizen through a staged capture and public trial, sentenced him to twenty thousand years in Muken, and later used him as Captain-Commander.
• Araki recruited Quincy rebels through Uryu, prepared the realms for war, and planned to use Muramasa to turn stolen Bankai against the Wandenreich.
• Yhwach invaded Seireitei, but Araki’s forces countered the Sternritter, and Aizen and Araki deceived Yhwach before he escaped Muken and withdrew to the shadows.
• Ichigo returned to Seireitei as Aizen, the Gotei 13, and the Vasto Lorde-class Espada fought Yhwach’s forces, while Genryūsai brought the First Generation Gotei 13 into battle.
• The Soul Reapers defeated the Schutzstaffel with help from Uryu, Yachiru, and Undying Flower, while Genryūsai attacked Yhwach and Ichigo’s allies tried to overcome The Almighty.
• Yachiru and Undying Flower began their Bankai, and Yachiru wounded Yhwach before he stole their powers and seemed to strike them down with Mugetsu.
• Araki and his daughters revealed the sisters’ deception, combined their Bankai as the Horizontal Three Worlds Buddhas, and pinned Yhwach to a cross with Longinus.
