During a break from writing, I wanted to chat with everyone about two things.
First, regarding the character Fate Bitch, some readers felt it was a little unreasonable. She was not even a Ruler, so how could she stir up so much trouble without being killed?
I had actually described this many times, to the point that some readers thought I was padding the word count. Fate was an incredibly overpowered force. In my setting, Fate Bitch was not strong in a direct fight, but she could wield power close to the supreme level. Like a conspirator—she might not be able to defeat a warrior, but she could absolutely create unimaginable situations.
As for the other Rulers, gods unrelated to fate simply could not detect what she was doing. Tang Qi knew because of "Omniscience" and Sally's existence.
The other Rulers merely saw her as a solitary, hateful, and extremely powerful bitch, and none of them wanted to provoke her.
Honestly, I also did not lay enough groundwork. The main plot of this arc was Fate Bitch. I had originally planned many, many plotlines like the We Are Light family, while also showing the splendor and wonder of the Boundless Mystery from the side. I thought it would be very enjoyable.
But my writing skills were not quite up to it, and everyone's tolerance for frustrating plotlines was not quite enough either, so I cut things down. The final result was something still rather far from perfect.
No matter what, though, the Final Act has arrived. I will do my best to write it well.
The second matter concerns updates. With my author points, I can take three days off and still receive the full-attendance bonus. I am sorry, but I have to use one of those today.
