I hadn't expected to be writing this so soon. In the end, I still failed to reach four million words.

Secret Witch concluded at 3.6 million words. Let me report the final results so far: over six thousand average subscriptions, with nearly twenty thousand peak subscriptions.

These results already exceeded my expectations. Thank you all so much, and thank you to every reader who supported the official release. I actually check the backend often, and I've become very familiar with the IDs of some readers who regularly vote and tip.

As for this book's ending, it really did come a little quickly. It should have pushed toward four million words.

But ending it here wasn't bad either. My creative passion had been completely drained.

From the chapter comments everyone left, it seemed that the praise for this book was concentrated in the early and middle stages. That made me feel rather melancholy. I put even more effort into the later stages, yet this was the result. I regretted it too.

In my outline and detailed plot notes, and even at the very root of it all, when those storylines were still in my head, they actually had considerable tension and were satisfying enough. The major events and side plots that took place in Boundless Mystery were all things I personally liked very much.

But when they were ultimately put onto the page, the part that probably came across best was "We Are Light."

On top of that, for various reasons, I cut many side plots. The final result was what you see now.

I don't want to grade myself. After all, there was no way to change it back. I could only take another test with the new book.
