A Second Journey with the Gods
The ruler of the King of the Underworld in Mesopotamian Underworld, a non-godlike god, treads upon the dark lands of Greece.
Her golden hair was still dazzling, and her bare upper body revealed muscles etched with Crimson Circuit lines, while her golden battle skirt swayed.
A glittering Star Vessel across the vast, dark underworld.
This was accompanied by bursts of laughter.
Gilgamesh, though not a god, is King of Heroes who unified the vast plains of Mesopotamia and nearly brought the Aegean Sea under his rule. He is the origin of countless heroes and the king among heroes, and is no less than any chief god.
Not to mention the increasingly powerful essence that was tempered in the struggle against death after he took control of the underworld.
Even Hades dared not underestimate them.
And so, as Zeus's command fell, as his rampant laughter echoed throughout the Greek Underworld...
The gods underground all became wary.
Charon, the ferryman of Hell, raised his mast protectively overhead, while Thanatos, the god of death, and Hypnos, the god of sleep, gripped their weapons tightly.
Hades, King of the Underworld, arrived at the scene immediately.
That is, at this time.
Rovi and Athena also quickly approached Tartarus.
In the original worldview of Greek Mythology, the world was born from chaos, followed by the successive manifestations of the earth ' Gaia ', the abyss ' Tartarus ', and the desire 'Eros'.
Gaia, as the earth itself, and Eros, with its reproductive instincts, need no further explanation. Tartarus, the abyss, is defined as 'the primordial, furnace-like atmospheric environment'.
The initial surface of the planet was covered by abysses, and only after the environment stabilized did it gradually converge into the depths of the Earth's core.
Now, however, Rovi and Athena have once again stepped into the realm of the abyss.
Lava, flowing straight down from the surface through cracks, became increasingly dense in view, like blood vessels flowing with blood, until it engulfed everything.
They finally reached the lowest level—not on the ground of Tartarus, but suspended in the air, in a deep abyss where there was no stable ground to stand on, only surging flames.
Athena gripped the Spear and Shield tightly in one hand and seized Rovi's hand.
"Lord Rovi, hold me tight," the goddess said, her crimson eyes gleaming slightly as she turned to the side, her flowing veil fluttering silently in the wind of the abyss.
Her voice was clear and distinct. "The abyss has no direction; otherwise, it's easy to get lost."
Rovi glanced sideways. Although he had reason to suspect that this goddess had ulterior motives, what she said was indeed the truth.
The abyss is a magma-shaped realm where even space itself is in flux.
Even gods can easily lose their way.
"Let's go then!" Rovi's ears twitched, and he could faintly hear roars coming from the wind.
That was probably the ' Titan Giants ' that the gods spoke of.
"Give it to me!" Athena smiled and raised her spear, "In the name of Athena —the breath that flows through all things—take me to the place where war is sure to break out!"
Encountering giants inevitably leads to war.
Therefore, seeking war is seeking the direction of the giants; without this direction, it is impossible to find a target in the ever-changing Tartarus.
This is where the crucial role of a scout becomes apparent.
Rovi nodded.
"Let's go then—resolve this as soon as possible!"
Defeat the giants, then let the giants defeat him.
"Is Lord Rovi such a hurry?" Athena asked, sounding somewhat reluctant.
Wouldn't it be better to end the war as soon as possible?
"You're so confident, sir?"
"Victory is assured, of course we are confident."
"Thank you... thank you for your trust."
"?"
Can I say that I just wanted you to take me away as soon as possible, and that it just slipped out of my mouth? I'm just being sweet-talking; you're not in my heart at all!
Looking at Athena, who had suddenly become happy, Rovi was somewhat speechless.
"Speaking of which, I've wanted to ask you before, how did Lord Rovi return from the Sea of Void? Even we gods who wield the power of nature cannot find a way to return to the mortal realm without a believer as an anchor."
Of course, it's because you beat up your dad and then your dad pulled you down.
But Rovi couldn't say these things.
"Don't you want to talk about it? Hmm, that's okay if you don't want to."
Athena was unusually talkative. Although the goddess, clad in armor, stood tall and imposing, her white dress fluttering in the wind added to her divine aura.
Rovi, however, always felt that she was trying to harm him...
It must be said that once a person becomes vigilant, it is difficult to regain their previous mindset.
However, Athena didn't care at all. She craved wisdom and did indeed yearn for those who possessed it. But she was Virgin Goddess, and unlike goddesses like Artemis who had been influenced by Enkidu, no matter how much she longed for it, she knew that it could only be a longing.
So she simply cherishes every opportunity to spend time with Rovi.
Try to feel his presence as much as possible.
That's not liking, it's just an attraction based on instinct.
She knew this.
After all, she is the Goddess of Wisdom and War. All she craves is the wisdom of enlightenment and the courage to challenge everything. She is not the goddess of love, and what she pursues is not the love that humans yearn for.
Yes--
Athena, so steadfast.
"I'm done." The Goddess of Wisdom turned her gaze to the side, her suspended feet stopped, she slightly tightened her grip on the long spear and shield in her hand, and her voice suddenly became sharp.
It was mixed with a chilling glint of light, like the glint of a blade.
Rovi followed her gaze.
The giant's shadow was right in front of them.
A lone figure stood in the abyss, a realm built of lava. They had rock-like bodies, with Tartarus lava flowing like patterns on their skin. They were hairless, with protruding fangs and golden eyes.
There are no reference points in the abyss, but if we use Rovi himself as a comparison, it is easy to conclude that even the shortest of those giants is over a hundred meters tall.
Their enormous size endows them with immense power, and they also carry a strong sense of 'divinity'.
Those were attributes bestowed upon them by the gods and Titans of the past.
Just like the Hydra that had been destroyed on the ground and defeated by Rovi, they were both monsters and gods.
It is a demon-like being.
So... are they capable of killing themselves?
Just like the Hydra before it was enough.
If Loew were not Poseidon, Rovi would have had the opportunity to touch death.
"I hope... you won't let me down!"
As Rovi and Athena arrived hand in hand, they instantly caught their attention.
Countless golden eyes turned and looked over at that moment.
Then...
Yi Yang let out a roar!
A deafening roar echoed through Tartarus, the deepest recesses of the Underworld.
'Wisdom and courage, heroes and sages.'
"Man and God".
"This battle will also be recorded in the annals of time."
'To become a true monument to heroes!'
"Come on, Giants!" Rovi raised his hand, his robes fluttering, the King's Treasure opened, and a dazzling sword light rose.
In that instant, the wind howled and the sword roared like a dragon!
