Heroes Who Broke the Prophecy
Before this, Achilles had asked himself countless times what he should do.
Born extraordinary and gaining immortality through various accidents, he believed that what he pursued was a brilliant life, a fleeting moment of brilliance that surpassed that of ordinary people. So when he received the summons from Agamemnon, the leader of the Greek coalition, he resolutely took his spear and embarked on the road to the battlefield.
To display one's glory on the battlefield and show the honor of being a demigod hero.
That was his initial idea.
As Achilles continued to swing his spear at the enemy, watching his comrades fall and his enemies fall, he couldn't help but recall his father's teachings.
Time and time again...
What heroes, what justice, what good and evil?
He didn't understand at that time.
Now, he understands.
"A hero is someone who creates miracles. A miracle is when a mortal can still carry out his will in the face of a god!"
"At least at this moment, my will—"
"They're right under my spear!"
Night fell, the bright moon hung high, and Achilles, facing the gods, trembled with his spear, his entire being becoming a dazzling arrow in the military camp.
The gods he faced were Hephaestus, the god of fire; Hera, Queen of Heaven; and his own prophetic destiny!
Forward, thrust!
Moving forward alongside numerous heroes—
"Hahaha, this feeling, this is exactly the feeling!" In Troy, Prince Hector was also laughing.
A startling sound shattered the long night, the gods froze, and heroes wept blood at that moment.
In the tents of the Greek allied forces, Hera, Queen of Heaven, lowered her eyes and looked at the tear in the corner of her sleeve.
Apollo, too, stared silently at his blood-stained boots.
God has become broken and defiled.
The gap between them is enormous.
The heroes' glory shines infinitely brighter.
Because they defied fate.
This defied the so-called prophecy.
"Gods, the war is over! And I did not die as prophesied!" Achilles spat out blood, yet laughed arrogantly.
The heroes were staggering and swaying, yet they were still breathing.
They have lost their fighting ability.
The soldiers of the Greek coalition and the Trojans also collapsed to the ground, unable to fight.
Neither side has the capacity for war.
And so the war ended.
Hera, Queen of Heaven's face was solemn, while Apollo's face unconsciously showed respect.
The seed that Rovi inadvertently planted on that ship has finally sprouted at this moment.
For heroes, strength is secondary; what they need more is courage, which is essential for humanity to overcome the shadow of the gods that shrouds the world.
Even though the gap is still huge, at least they have the courage to look directly into the abyss.
Look directly at the gods.
Face yourself honestly.
Break the chains!
The heroes all retreated at the same time; they had been repelled by the gods and lost their fighting ability, but Yu was not dead, only wounded.
Rovi sheltered them.
Because heroes created miracles.
Rovi, who transformed from a human to a god and became one with the divine, was a miracle inherently human.
He is the one who spreads miracles.
They are also people who bring together miracles.
As night deepened and moonlight spilled across the vast land, the Aegean Sea ebbed and flowed, and the sea breeze carried a strong salty scent. The Mechanical Body Rovi manifested slowly shrank, returning to human form.
Having understood everything, Apollo and the other gods also stopped venting their anger.
The towering God of Light looked at the group of Demigod Hero who dared to point their spears at the gods, his gaze deep and distant. "Heroes, I will remember you."
"Though you are but mortals... it is your courage that is truly beautiful," Aphrodite, Goddess of Love, affirmed.
No one can deny the will of the heroes.
Because they were the ones who broke the shackles of prophecy.
He is a person who cherishes lofty ideals.
"Roar!" ' Ares ' roared, filled with soaring fighting spirit, an instinctive affirmation of the heroes by the god of war.
Both sides have fallen.
The soldiers of Uruk, however, marched in and completely surrounded the area.
This was a 'defeat' for both the Greek coalition and Troy, and a victory for Rovi.
A victory without losing a single soldier.
A victory without killing a single person.
"I accept my defeat." Apollo said nonchalantly, looking up at Rovi in the sky, and slowly offered his stake. "In the name of Apollo, the God of Light, I acknowledge your victory, and hereby we make a covenant—"
"For the next thousand years, may light shine upon you, unimpeded!"
"Hmph, fine, consider this a lucky break!" Aphrodite, the goddess of love and beauty, tossed her crimson hair, suppressing her resentment, and said unhappily, "I, Aphrodite, Goddess of Love, acknowledge your victory and hereby make a covenant—"
"For the next thousand years, beauty and love will always be with you."
"Ares, God of War, hereby make a covenant—you shall be the master of all wars." ' Ares ' seemed to regain consciousness for a moment, but after saying these words, he returned to chaos.
"Hera, Queen of Heaven, hereby makes a covenant—"
"..."
One voice after another rang out outside Troy, and one promise after another condensed on Rovi's body.
Making a covenant with God was unimportant to Rovi.
The agreement they made with themselves was merely an acknowledgment, without much substantive meaning.
For Rovi, the real gain was successfully bringing the soldiers of Uruk to the ground without attracting the attention or vigilance of the gods.
Perhaps even the gods know this.
Perhaps they felt indifferent, or perhaps they lacked the face to pursue the matter, so they remained silent.
With the gods' promise, Rovi could rightfully allow Uruk to be built on the earth.
This means that his plan with Gilgamesh has taken another step forward, and it also means that his suicidal plan to provoke Zeus and fight him to the death has taken another step forward!
"Hahaha, that fellow, he has not disappointed me!" In the underworld, Gilgamesh laughed loudly, while Siduri bowed to his side, holding a clay tablet to record the events.
"Withdraw your troops!" Agamemnon, the commander of the Greek coalition, could not see the Divine Tool appearances, but he could sense their decision from their shimmering divinity. He sighed, looked around at the Greek soldiers who had been knocked to the ground by the heroes and were no longer able to fight, and gave this order.
Achilles and other severely wounded heroes smiled.
This is the first time that heroes have not rushed forth to kill, but to stop the war and the needless killing.
Therefore, their laughter was genuine.
They finally understood the spirit that the heroes of the Argo, their fathers, had gained during that trial.
A heroic ideal that even ordinary people can uphold!
'The seeds of heroism sown on the Argo took root in the War of Troy, and the heroes, with their shining will, embarked on a path of self-justice unlike any before.'
' New Tales of Greek Heroes '
"How can my pursuit of fleeting brilliance compare to lasting glory?!" Achilles smiled as he gazed at the two intertwined beams of divine light high in the sky.
"O God of Ten Thousand Armies, whom I have chosen, protect me on my journey forward!"
Meanwhile, in another corner of the sky.
In Arcadia Park, someone slowly opened their eyes, and as their lips parted slightly, they uttered an unconscious murmur.
"Rovi ..." The girl with long, flowing hair looked into the distance.
