Eye
The timeline shifts back to the week before the Destiny Space night.
Every night.
Inside the cubicle of the "Stargazing Room".
Han Dong is undergoing special study and training here. Apart from Mr. Black and White, no one knows what Han Dong is doing here.
Mr. Black and White also said so.
During his studies, he would never disturb Han Dong, nor would he spy on Han Dong's cultivation process, giving him complete freedom.
What Han Dong was studying was this book from outside the city— the Book of the Dead — the Ocular Codex (unless otherwise specified, it is referred to as the ' Ocular Codex ').
Han Dong's perspective on the review was completely different from that of the original holder, Baker Marcellus.
What the head of the Baker Family values is how to create Corrupted Entity and how to gain powerful forces outside the city through sacrifices.
Han Dong's focus, however, was on the eyes.
That's right.
Because of the existence of the "Faceless Head," Han Dong was able to ignore the pollution while reading this book... and it wasn't much different from reading a normal book.
Han Dong initially planned to browse the book thoroughly to get a general understanding of its contents.
He discovered that things weren't as simple as he had imagined.
[seal]
A seal, which Han Dong could not understand, was set inside the book.
Han Dong was unable to access Chapter Two and the content thereafter.
According to the book's title page, in order to read the second chapter, one must fully grasp the knowledge presented in the previous chapter... and so on.
"No wonder Baker has had this book for a long time, but only mentioned the first chapter in his diary... It's because he hasn't been able to grasp the entire first chapter and therefore can't browse the next chapter."
Han Dong roused himself and prepared to try to conquer the first chapter in a week.
All the Wicked Arts recorded in Chapter One, including Human Transmutation, evil sacrifices, and corrupting magic arrays, are just some basic principles.
After mastering the basics, you can then truly begin learning the core content of the first chapter - [Eyes].
Just like how you have to learn basic mathematics before you can learn physics and chemistry.
With limited time, Han Dong chose to only scratch the surface, not delving into the principles of Wicked Arts magic, but simply understanding its basic concepts.
Han Dong and the original holder, Baker, have fundamentally different learning methods.
Han Dong's learning method is the correct one.
In conjunction with "The Faceless Head," I spent a week reading and studying day and night.
By chance, the whole group entered a special state that is hard to describe.
It happened two days before the opening of the Destiny Space.
A giant sheet of white paper was spread out on the desk.
The page was covered with densely packed biological knowledge, occult-related charts, and copies of evil formations from books by Han Dong.
Han Dong needs to connect these pieces of knowledge and find Breakthrough Point.
To gain a deeper understanding of the nature of the eye as explained in Chapter 1.
Without the aid of a computer, all the calculations had to be performed in Han Dong's brain.
Am I being a bit too eager for quick success?
The intense information processing left Han Dong feeling exhausted, and his brain sent him a signal to rest.
Han Dong was already used to this; as soon as his brain felt a little tired, he would immediately go to sleep.
Who knew that this fall would happen!
This caused Han Dong's forehead to touch the white paper covered with various evil formations.
At the same time, Han Dong's right hand happened to touch the "Book of the Dead - Ocular Codex" placed to the side.
Formation on white paper
The Faceless Head
Evil book.
Trinity.
As soon as Han Dong fell asleep, he was immediately immersed in an incredibly realistic dream.
"Here it is!?"
It seems to connect to the previous real dream.
Han Dong stood on the podium as a university teacher.
However, this time the students sitting in the audience were slightly different from the last time; they were no longer Faceless... The faces of hundreds of students had an extra feature - eyes.
A single eye was growing on the student's face, staring at Teacher Han Dong on the podium.
The multimedia courseware has been displayed.
The assignment clearly states today's task is to "submit your eyes".
A clean glass box had appeared in Han Dong's hands without him noticing.
Ring ring ring~ The school bell rang.
The students stood up one by one and lined up to come to the front of the classroom.
Submit your assignment!
One by one, smooth, round objects slid down their faces and landed right in the glass box in Han Dong's hand.
The students who had submitted their assignments waved goodbye to Mr. Han Dong and left the classroom happily.
Immediately afterwards, the projected courseware changed.
Han Dong stared at the presentation slides with a look of surprise.
"Isn't this the final formation I derived by combining cell biology with various formations from the first chapter? To be honest, I haven't finished it yet... How did I complete it?"
Just as Han Dong was marveling.
Array-driven.
The 'homework' inside the glass box flew around the array, forming a giant Living Eye on the blackboard, which Eye Contact Han Dong.
The size of the eyes is the same as the eyes on the back of [Fallen Beck].
"This is... the final step described in the first chapter of the Ocular Codex - [The Living Demon Eye]."
Han Dong immediately recalled the contents of the book and, following the steps, reached out and touched his eyeballs!
Unlike Baker Marcellus, who completely degenerated in this step and grew a giant eye from his back.
Han Dong was not contaminated in any way during this process.
Through the suction of the palm, the [Demon Eye] described in the first chapter was perfectly absorbed into the body, transformed into its normal size, and manifested at the center of the forehead.
Opening Eye!
Han Dong saw many things that were invisible to the naked eye... The seemingly ordinary classroom was not just about objects like blackboards, podiums, and desks.
Even the walls and the floor are made entirely of tentacles.
It felt like being inside the body of some kind of giant, polluted monster!
"Wow!"
When I suddenly woke up, it was already daytime.
The white paper that was originally filled with formulas and formations has turned into a pile of dust.
At the same time, a voice from the depths of the skull came from inside.
The Faceless Head has unlocked a new ability - "Lesser Demon Eye (Upgradeable)".
Warning: The Faceless Head level is (LV.1), making it difficult to unleash the full power of the "Lesser Demon Eye".
Please reserve at least 50 Load Value points for upgrading the Faceless Head.
"Magic Eye!"
Han Dong's Consciousness Layer also gained an additional facial organ, which he could freely control... not just opening and closing his eyes, but also some other functions.
Driven by will.
The Lesser Demon Eye opened.
While 'visual ability' becomes specialized, the five senses are also enhanced accordingly.
"Those eyes!!"
Han Dong quickly flipped through the Ocular Codex.
Part of Chapter Two has been shown, but it is not yet complete.
"I have to use my eyesight to its fullest extent to see the contents of Chapter Two... but that's enough!"
I never imagined that taking a nap because I was so tired would lead to such an opportunity!
With this eye, I can consider more challenging Destiny Event.
Han Dong stared at the third eye in the mirror, which was growing between his eyebrows.
An exaggerated smile was on his face.
I'm writing on the train. It's Sunday, so there will be two chapters today. I'll be updating three chapters tomorrow as usual!
