The pierced ice layers were smeared with foul-smelling green slime.
That punch had directly forced Eugenis into his "true form." Hundreds of Ink Green tentacles cushioned him and offset the impact damage... otherwise, he might have been flung straight out of the Frozen Soil and into the incomparably dangerous Void.

Unable to hold it in, he vomited up all sorts of fragmented internal organs along with the contents of his body.
Eugenis's head was wrapped in an amoeba-like body, and he revealed a relatively relieved smile.
"If not for the initial cold forcing me to put on the Black Flesh Coat specially tailored through the Meat Mountain... that punch would have torn both my body and soul apart.
