Route
By sacrificing this low-ranking Deep Sea Priest, the [Ability Card - Demon Eye] is upgraded.
After all, this Deep Sea Priest also symbolizes the source of the ominous sign at the third-tier difficulty level.
If Han Dong hadn't broken the illusion using extraordinary means...
Ultimately, there is a high probability that both consciousness and soul will sink into the sea, resulting in complete death in this incident.
[Ability Card - Magic Eye (Advanced)]
Consuming five points of Omen Points at once will grant permanent access (compared to a regular card which only consumes three points for One Hour of use).
Effect: The Magic Eye helps you dispel illusions in the mist, increases your observation range, and allows you to perceive monster weaknesses. (The Eye Imprint effect is still disabled, limiting its use to visual abilities.)
"This incident really seems to be trying to limit my abilities in every possible way... Is it just for 'balance'? But it's enough. The Lesser Demon Eye can be permanently activated, which is better than I expected."
Han Dong didn't give it much thought.
I directly deducted 5 points of Omen Points, leaving only 1 point for my own use.
The card symbolizing the Demon Eye was removed directly from Han Dong's basic cards, and his brow twitched... The familiar feeling would return.
It has the same ability as the newly reactivated "tentacles".
The use of the Lesser Demon Eye also requires Mythical Energy, which means that Han Dong cannot simply avoid battle while moving through the mist... he must 'eat' when necessary.
Afterwards, Han Dong went back to the women's restroom.
As expected, on the bathroom floor, which was overflowing with Seawater and scattered with sea fish, there was an extra piece of white paper that was unaffected by the Seawater.
"Manuscript Three has been retrieved. The overall event progress has reached a critical point. The wizard has been activated."
1. The number of ominous events that have been successfully overcome has reached three.
2. The basic cards have been upgraded.
3. Advanced cards have been obtained.
The above requirements have been met, and the initial preparation phase of "The Mist" is complete. You can decide for yourself whether to proceed to the next stage of the story, "Explore the Mist."
Once the next phase begins, the shelter effect in the supermarket area will be lost after 24 hours.
Before the shelter effect completely ends, leave the supermarket and begin a full-scale exploration:
Meanwhile, the [Yellow Temple] will exist directly in the mind of each individual participant, allowing them to perform "sacrifices," "card upgrades," and "exchange for high-level cards" outside of combat.
Based on your judgments, actions, and how you dealt with the ominous signs during the initial preparation phase.
The system wizard will provide four completely different types of main storylines for you to choose from (single-player mode only).
Once selected, you can only specify a route to complete it... otherwise you will be unable to meet the completion conditions and will be permanently trapped in the fog.
"Savior Route"
Activation conditions: The protagonist David is alive, the supermarket manager Mr. Ollie is alive, and the number of other townspeople who are alive is greater than or equal to [15].
Requirements: Lead or assist the protagonist David in guiding the townspeople to try to escape the fog.
The final number of survivors must be ≥ [5] and the protagonist David must survive.
(Note: The Savior Route is a type of Perfect Ending. The system will provide guidance and assistance during the Savior route. Once successful, you will receive the "Box of Sublime Virtue".)
"The Judas Route"
Activation conditions: Mrs. Carmody is alive or any Deep Sea Priest is alive, and the protagonist David has left the supermarket.
Require:
①. Following the guidance of a loyal follower from the sea, complete the [Initiation Ceremony]. (You will completely sever ties with the Yellow Temple; you can obtain similar privileges in the Deep Sea Temple.)
②. You need to unite with other believers in the town to completely transform the current town into a "Deep Sea Colony".
At the same time, you need to travel to other towns, cities, or human settlements to develop more Deepsea Cultists (number ≥ 100).
(The Judas Route is an anti- Perfect Ending. You can get the assistance of the Deep Sea Cultists during the route and occasionally hear hints from the Deep Sea Sound. Once you succeed, you will get the "Perfect Abyssal Chest".)
"The Dictator Route"
Activation conditions: The total number of surviving people in the supermarket must be ≥20 and they must all be sacrificed to the Yellow Temple.
Requirements: After the townspeople's sacrifice is completed, the Yellow Temple will be "activated," and a wisp of the consciousness of an ancient deity will descend into the statue.
You will receive a "Yellow Rune Scroll" containing various challenging missions.
You need to complete all the events recorded on the scroll according to the instructions.
Once the objective is achieved, the temple will teleport you directly outside the mist area, ending the "Mist" event.
(The Dictator Route also has a condition for perfect completion; you need to bring back a perfect scroll within the time limit. The Yellow Temple will reward you with a "Perfect Yellow Chest".)
"The True Self Route"
Activation conditions:?
Requirement: Find your lost self in the fog.
"This is interesting..."
The first three more detailed routes are somewhat biased towards faction selection.
However, this ambiguous "True Self Route" piqued the interest of Han Dong, who had already deduced some relationship information.
About ten minutes passed.
When Han Dong returned to the hall.
The main characters had just come out of the bathroom to shower, washing away the blood from the execution and changing into spare employee uniforms provided by the supermarket.
Because Han Dong had foreshadowed this beforehand, informing everyone about the "boundary of the mist," there was a possibility that they could escape the danger.
Immediately, they summoned several key figures from the supermarket to form a team of Survivor+, attempting to escape the supermarket's protection and venture into the fog.
However, the recruitment of personnel did not go particularly smoothly.
Even with the hopeful light given to everyone beforehand, and the protagonist David's relatively strong appeal, it was still impossible to bring all the supermarket staff together.
After experiencing the "Deep Sea Shadow" incident, a group of people refused to leave the supermarket.
Compared to dying a horrible death at the hands of the mist monsters, or even being left half-dead... many people would rather stay in the supermarket and wait to die, at least that way they can live a couple more days and avoid Affliction.
Of the 23 people in the supermarket, ten chose to stay.
The protagonist, David, carrying a large backpack and holding a homemade spear, stands on a supermarket shelf and shouts:
"Please bring any weapons and equipment that are suitable for you. If we have the opportunity, we will go to the police station to search for firearms... We expect to depart in ten minutes, so please be prepared."
As for Han Dong, he only brought a few bottles of gasoline and carried a large Fire Axe that was easy to handle.
With the powerful force provided by the G-Virus, this Fire Axe has already taken the heads of many monsters.
The biggest benefit of experiencing this Destiny Event should be that Han Dong became more skilled in controlling and operating the G-Virus... making Han Dong realize that the potential of this virus was greater than he had expected.
The left and right arms also need to be balanced.
It just so happens that Han Dong found a Joints point in this incident.
With everything in place, the next phase of the "Mist" incident officially begins.
