Reasoning
Han Dong's maniacal laughter was not intentional.
The key is that his plan to lure the mysterious Hidden Resident into focusing all his attention on him will succeed, allowing Han Dong's external methods to be used.
Han Dong lay on the dissection table with a smile on his face.
"Hypnosis in its truest sense uses 'gaps' and ' Neural Focus ' to lure us into illusions, and then misleads us with various bizarre phenomena, making us sink deeper and deeper into the illusions."
The story unfolds in a progressive manner, leading us from billboards → circular highways → motels → witchcraft underground doors → Dissection Room → female corpses.
They pulled us into the Depths of the illusion, using Yu Wu's misleading words to draw everyone's attention to the "female corpse."
In this way, a misleading illusion is created.
Even if we broaden our thinking a bit further and realize that the problem lies in the "Underground Dissection Room," or even on a larger scale, we realize that the problem lies in the entire "motel."
It's all useless.
It used a total of four layers of "matryoshka dolls"!
You have to jump to another layer, which is... the Oldest One billboard.
After a long journey, encountering all sorts of strange and even terrifying Hidden Resident along the way... After driving for several days, anyone would feel a moment of 'psychological relaxation' when they first saw the sign for Derry Town.
This is the Oldest One illusion [entry point].
The area behind the billboards is entirely fictional.
The circular road that I couldn't drive out of, the torrential rain, the motel—everything was just an illusion. In reality, I was in a [closed room].
Am I right?
Han Dong's body was completely stiff, and only his mouth was still functional.
Such remarks elicited a rather surprised expression from [The Corpse - Jane Doyle], indirectly proving that Han Dong's speculation was undoubtedly correct.
Click-clack~ The female corpse's stiff mouth slowly opened.
The tongue, with its insides cut open, is exposed.
A sharp, piercing sound echoed directly in Han Dong's mind.
"I'm curious, how did you arrive at the conclusion about enclosed rooms?"
Miles, that low-IQ guy, only knows some of my characteristics; he could never possibly know the scheme behind the "Motel."
Tell me what you think; perhaps we can extend the time spent on the autopsy.
Han Dong appeared unperturbed and slowly began to explain his reasoning process.
"There are three points in total to verify my hypothesis that I am in a [closed room]."
First, there's the issue of teammates being entirely fictitious, which I won't go into too much detail about.
Miles gave me a very important clue... The fact that my teammate was 'switched' must have happened before we entered the motel. This kind of unnoticed switch must only exist in a hallucination.
Second, [holistic].
Whether it's a highway, a motel, or Underground Dissection Room, the airflow rate, overall cleanliness, and sense of silence are exactly the same.
This leads me to the initial conclusion that, in reality, I should be in a separate, enclosed room to maintain a sense of wholeness.
Third, [Rainwater].
Assuming the first two points are true.
Unfortunately, I found the water valve in the sealed room, which was the bathroom faucet in the guest room at the far end of the second floor.
The way a faucet is turned on or off can directly affect a rainstorm, and rainstorms have two key characteristics.
1. It will never fall into the building.
2. Once I turn off the water valve, the rainwater on the asphalt road will dry up instantly.
It's like I'm in a closed room, turning on a tap in a sink. Water flows out of the tap without splashing out of the sink, but I can still hear the sound of water. Once the tap is turned off, the water immediately flows away from the bottom of the sink.
This further confirms that my physical body is located in a [closed room].
Furthermore, I have made further speculations.
A billboard is like the door to a closed room.
Since the room is equipped with a sink and a showerhead that can spray water onto my body, and considering Ms. Jane's own preferences...
My final guess is that the area where my real body is located should be a real-world "Dissection Room"? The dissection you are about to perform will also be synchronized between "reality" and "illusion".
Once I am dissected by you here, the situation in reality will be the same... unable to struggle, only able to quietly await death.
Hehehe!
After hearing the reasoning, the female corpse let out a strange laugh.
"Your awareness and defensiveness are the strongest I've ever seen among 'living people'... You can find the blind spot in the design of the 'faucet' through self-cues provided by your consciousness."
It can even shake the lives in the world I create through laughter.
I can't wait to dissect your body, especially your brain.
Having said that, the female corpse holding the dissection tools stepped forward, and there was not a trace of pity in her eyes.
Even if Han Dong had deduced everything.
But the moment he recklessly climbed over the railing, he was trapped, and Han Dong had no chance of escaping on his own.
"Wait... Since I can freely adjust the [rain], it means that although my true body is in Deep Hypnosis state, I can still move around in the real-world locked room, right?"
The female corpse nodded. "That's right! However, you are currently bound to the dissection table by me. Reality and illusion are completely synchronized, so you can't move even if you want to... Enjoy the feeling of being dissected."
Just as the scalpel touched Han Dong's scalp.
Han Dong showed no fear whatsoever... he even continued to ask questions.
"One last question, what time is it now? I remember we arrived here at night."
"In my fantasy world, Time Flow Rate very slowly... Tomorrow morning, I will drag your dissected bodies back to Derry Town."
It should fetch a good price.
Han Dong was about to be dissected, had a thoughtful expression on his face. "Oh... then there's no problem."
Seeing that Han Dong neither resisted nor made any pre-death screams, the Female Corpse Jane praised, "You're quite conscientious. The autopsy will begin immediately."
"Oh, I'll start right away too."
Outside the motel.
In the darkness, a writhing shadow materialized in front of the billboard.
The cleaver in his hand slammed heavily against the surface of the billboard, feeling as if he were chopping down a door... Crack! The billboard collapsed, corresponding to the breaking of a door lock.
As the billboard collapsed.
The dark clouds then dispersed.
A bright, crescent moon hung in the sky, its light spilling down.
Light and shadow permeated the motel, illuminating the Underground Dissection Room from all directions and highlighting the mark left on Han Dong's neck.
"Activate... the mark, moonlight, the descent... of this 'thing,' it's annoying."
The above are Miles's original words.
Currently, lying on the dissection table, bathed in moonlight, Han Dong faintly hears another sentence:
"Boss, I'm here to work!"
My wife's in labor, I'll try to update twice a week... There's power, a table, and a chair in the ward, so it's alright for me to type.
