Background / History

Su Xing was born as the only son of wealthy Heaven Dou merchants Su Jinlong and Lin Qianyue. His inherited Coin Martial Soul was useful for generating wealth but lacked notable combat power, while his Innate Soul Power was only Level 3. A transmigrator and former top student, Su Xing relied on adult discipline and a stronger soul to reach Level 19 by age twelve. 1

At age six, he sought Yu Xiaogang’s guidance on becoming a Title Douluo. Yu Xiaogang deemed it impossible and rejected him as a disciple, causing Su Xing to abandon both the Grandmaster and any attempt to become close to Tang San and Xiao Wu. 1

Rather than accept his limits, Su Xing tested his theories on slaves and concluded that Spirit Rings restricted a Soul Master’s control over spirit power. He detonated his own 400-year first Spirit Ring, preserved the lightning attribute it had added to his Coin Martial Soul, and began developing freely usable techniques instead of fixed ring skills. 1
