Background / History
Tang San is a reincarnated soul with memories and skills from a previous life. When confronted by Tang Hao over the knowledge and techniques that did not match his upbringing, Tang San admits his reincarnation and insists that Tang Hao remains his father. Tang Hao ultimately accepts him as his son. 163 164
His unusual abilities make Ah Yin doubt his identity. She initially concludes that he usurped her biological son's body, while Tang Hao accepts Tang San's explanation of reincarnation. 154 163 164
Tang San possesses Twin Martial Souls: Blue Silver Grass and the Clear Sky Hammer. He later tries to awaken the Blue Silver Emperor bloodline inherited from Ah Yin, drawing power from surrounding Blue Silver Grass; Ah Yin prevents the clan from pledging allegiance, causing the awakening to fail. 122 191 192
Appearance
Tang San’s appearance changes drastically after prolonged exposure to the Capital of Slaughter and the Rakshasa God’s power.
- Originally identifiable through his Blue Silver Grass, Clear Sky Hammer, and Eight Spider Lances. 122 147
- Later wears a mask and develops dark-red, then blood-red hair to conceal his identity in the Capital of Slaughter. 225 252
- His eyes later emit a scarlet glow, and he carries an overtly evil aura. 315
- When confronting the Martial Soul Empire’s palace, he appears with crimson soul power and eight black, blood-red scythes behind him. 370
Personality
Tang San is initially composed, resilient, and highly strategic. He studies opponents, adapts his techniques in battle, and relies on precise use of Hidden Weapons, poison, movement techniques, and his Martial Souls rather than direct force alone. 79 210 213
He is deeply prideful regarding Su Xing. Although Tang San recognizes that Su Xing is stronger during their early encounters, he remains convinced that the potential of his Twin Martial Souls will eventually allow him to surpass his rival. 179 211 355
After Tang Hao’s death and the revelation of Xiao Wu’s fate, Tang San becomes consumed by revenge. He embraces the evil aura of the Capital of Slaughter, grows stronger by absorbing spirit power from the dead, and eventually directs his hatred toward Su Xing, the Martial Soul Empire, the Clear Sky Sect, Xiao Wu, and the world at large. 218 225 315 371
Abilities & Skills
Twin Martial Souls
Tang San wields Blue Silver Grass as his primary Martial Soul and the Clear Sky Hammer as his second.
- His Blue Silver Grass possesses eight documented Spirit Rings: two yellow, two purple, and four black. 355
- He reveals the Clear Sky Hammer during the Spirit Master Tournament when his team faces defeat. 122
- At level 88, his Clear Sky Hammer has not yet received any Spirit Rings. 355
- After reaching Title Douluo, configuring Spirit Rings for the hammer becomes his next Rakshasa God trial. 357
Blue Silver Grass Techniques
Tang San develops his Blue Silver Grass into both a control tool and a projectile weapon system.
- Bind — Summons Blue Silver Grass to restrain opponents. 38
- Parasite — Can be triggered after Blue Silver Grass seeds are planted on a target. 79
- Blue Silver as Sword — Converts grass leaves into small sword-like projectiles; obtained from a five-thousand-year Sword Bamboo. 79
- Blue Silver Cage — Forms a defensive cage, though it can be shattered by sufficiently powerful attacks. 357
- Blue Silver Emperor awakening attempt — He can draw energy and recognition from Blue Silver Grass, but fails to complete the evolution because Ah Yin interferes. 191 192
Clear Sky Hammer Techniques
The Clear Sky Hammer supplies Tang San’s strongest direct combat option before his divine ascent.
- Disorder Splitting Wind Hammer — A hammer technique he masters before entering the Capital of Slaughter. 208
- Uses the hammer against Su Xing in the Slaughter Arena, but Su Xing’s Sword Control Technique and flying swords force him into a defensive position. 213
- Combines hammer techniques with his mobility, Spirit Bone abilities, and Slaughter God’s Domain against Clear Sky Sect elders. 357
Hidden Weapons and Tang Sect Techniques
Tang San is exceptionally skilled with concealed weapons and techniques retained from his previous life.
- Ghost Shadow Perplexing Track — A movement technique used to evade rapid lightning attacks and reposition in combat. 79

- Uses Hidden Weapons and poison to counter-kill Zhao Wuji after suffering severe injuries. 210
- Poisons the Clear Sky Sect’s meals with the colorless, odorless, delayed-effect Ten Fragrance Soft Muscle Powder before attacking its leadership. 356 357

- Can be used as bladed limbs for defense and close-range offense. 38 79
- Several lances are shattered while blocking Zhao Wuji’s axe strike, causing Tang San intense pain and serious injuries. 210
- Later absorbs spirit power from slain Spirit Masters and Spirit Beasts through the lances. 315 316
- Repeated absorption strengthens the lances into a vivid purplish-red color and heightens their toxicity. 316
- Uses the lances to absorb enough residual power from Clear Sky Sect elders to rise from level 88 to 89. 357
Slaughter God’s Domain and Rakshasa God Power
Tang San’s time in the Capital of Slaughter changes both his power and temperament.
- The Capital’s evil aura enhances rather than harms him; he deliberately allows it to accumulate for greater strength. 225
- Uses the Slaughter God’s Domain alongside Spirit Bone skills, Blue Silver Grass, and Hidden Weapons in battle. 357
- Receives the Rakshasa God’s Nine Trials after completing the Hell Road. 297

Their rivalry culminates in a duel where Su Xing defeats Tang San with Chidori after breaking through his Blue Silver Grass and Eight Spider Lances. 9 16 42
During later sparring, Tang San adapts his Blue Silver Grass into sword-like projectile weapons specifically to counter Su Xing’s lightning techniques and combat style. 79
Failed Blue Silver Emperor Awakening

Capital of Slaughter
Tang San enters the Capital of Slaughter through an illegal route arranged by Tang Hao. There, he fights Zhao Wuji, survives a near-fatal axe strike, and kills his former teacher through Hidden Weapons and poison. 208 210

Rakshasa God Trials
Tang San completes one hundred consecutive victories in the Slaughter Arena, then clears the Hell Road and receives the Rakshasa God’s Nine Trials instead of the expected Slaughter God inheritance. 296 297
