Once the book-copying began at the library, time seemed to fast-forward. In the blink of an eye, a month and a half had passed.
Over that month and a half, Gu Xi seemed as if he had taken root in the library.
Every night around ten, he went down the mountain and spent the night in the Holy Silver Evil Coffin. Around six the next morning, he climbed back up.
The first thing he did upon reaching the mountain was summon fifty Death Wizards, open the gate to Aryadovi City, and let Eve and the undead under her command out to search for and copy books.
The reason for all this trouble—
Was that Gu Xi himself was not undead. He needed food and rest.
Eve also needed to sort through that day's gains after returning each day.
After all, many things could not be dealt with simply by copying them down.
Eve needed to arrange for the people in the Magic District to experiment with what had been copied that day and adjust the issues left over from before.
Once that work began, the entire night would often pass. The next morning, after Gu Xi had gotten enough sleep, they would come back out to continue searching for and copying books.
That was because undead did not know fatigue.
If they had been anyone else, they would have thrown the paper they were copying on right into Gu Xi's face long ago.
Today was the same. After finishing breakfast at the Holy Silver Evil Coffin, Gu Xi jumped down and headed toward the little mountain where the library stood.
