Large-scale Illusion Site

As the Summoning Tower rose, Gu Xi took his place at its summit. From there, he could clearly see that beyond the yellow sands, the dust was filled with creatures that lived in the desert.

Most of these creatures were hard-shelled Swarms.

They were mainly arthropods such as scorpions and Spiders.

They seemed to have adapted to the desert environment.

Yet when these Swarms appeared, Gu Xi noticed something unusual.

Although their numbers were astonishing and their charge looked imposing,

Gu Xi still found something obviously wrong with them.

The biggest problem was that these insects had charged out of a sandstorm, yet their shells were remarkably clean.

Gu Xi was not saying their shells had to be battered and worn.

But they should at least have had some sand on them.

Their colors should also have been close to the color of the sand.

Yet these insects were mostly Bright Green, Bright Purple, bright red, and bright yellow.

It was as if they were afraid others would fail to notice them.

At the same time, they were mixed together in the dust rather than organized into groups by color.

Instead, all those colors were jumbled together.

Something about this was clearly wrong.

Gu Xi considered it from his own perspective.

In his view, either every unit should be dressed the same, or they should be categorized by color. If they were classified by color, then each unit should at least have a uniform color.

Gu Xi was not obsessive-compulsive, but his reasoning was understandable.

If the colors stood out yet were all mixed together, it would be difficult even to deploy the troops.

Yet the Swarms before him were all tangled together.

At first glance, they gave off a sense of chaos and overwhelming numbers.

This was obviously wrong.
