Ch. 803The Rejuvenation Pill That Changed the Balance of Power

Gu Xi learned how Peixin Agricultural University interpreted the Five Elements and received the final test results for the Grass Return Pills, including a pill that could revive players. With the pills’ value reshaping Yuanzu City’s priorities, he and Liu Fei discussed how to plant his saplings while awaiting orders from above.

  • Liu Zengqiang left to report the first three test results, while Li Fei told Gu Xi that research would likely shift toward later-generation saplings and large-scale cultivation.
  • Li Fei explained that glaciers, sand, coal, metal slabs, and torches could represent the water, earth, wood, metal, and fire elements in planting.
  • Gu Xi read the Grass Return Pill (Wood) report and learned that it could give a player who died in the game one chance to revive.
  • The final report showed that Grass Return Pill (Earth) could temporarily neutralize one randomly selected negative effect from purple equipment.
  • Liu Fei advised Gu Xi to plant five hundred saplings with all five elements, prioritize the Water and Earth pills, and reserve as many unplanted saplings as possible for future experiments.

Ch. 804Rewards from the Higher-Ups

After the Grass Return Pill drew the attention of Peixin City’s leadership, Gu Xi was summoned to meet the City Lord and learn that his contribution would bring rewards. He was escorted under heavy security and, after secretly using his equipment to sense people watching him, met Xu Youming, the young level 29 Archmage and City Lord of Peixin City.

  • With Liu Zengqiang called away, Gu Xi listened to Li Fei explain the university’s tree-planting research and recorded what he did not understand for later experiments.
  • A letter from the principal informed Li Fei that the City Lord wanted to meet Gu Xi about keeping the Grass Return Pill’s cultivation in This City and rewarding Gu Xi for presenting it.
  • Three level 19 paladins escorted Gu Xi in a blacked-out vehicle and warned him not to speak carelessly or use methods related to Teleportation Gates.
  • Gu Xi secretly used the Flame Light Six Paths Lamp to connect with the Yellow Springs Dragon Robe and Mind Nether Lamp, sensing people scrutinizing him for several minutes.
  • Xu Youming entered the vehicle, introduced himself as the level 29 Archmage and City Lord of Peixin City, and greeted Gu Xi.

Ch. 805Amazing Rewards

Xu Youming met with Gu Xi to present the rewards arranged by four cities for Gu Xi’s discovery and generous offer to society. He also conveyed Yi Tianxing’s invitation for Gu Xi to join an upcoming Genesis operation, leaving Gu Xi with the registration form.

  • Xu Youming praised Gu Xi and discussed his potential, while Gu Xi remained calm about the prospect of reaching level 20.
  • Xu Youming explained that Yuanzu City would provide a deed to a fully developed Level 6 city that Gu Xi could integrate into his Death City.
  • Xu Youming said Changzi City offered to nurture one of Gu Xi’s Purple Equipment items into Orange Equipment, and Peixin City had copied important Necromancer books and materials for him.
  • Xu Youming revealed that Moluan City would give Gu Xi a branch of the Chaotic Demon Market, which could enable synchronized trade with cities.
  • Xu Youming delivered Yi Tianxing’s invitation for Gu Xi to join a Genesis operation and offered him a registration form despite his being only Level 8.

Ch. 806Gifts and a House

Xu Youming gave Gu Xi a house in Sky Garden and explained that the City Lord had arranged it for him. After arriving, Gu Xi considered his plans to strengthen his forces, clear Westminster Abbey, and reach Level 10 before the New Year, then learned from the angels that his villa was far away.

  • Xu Youming gave Gu Xi the key to Room 1001, Block 1, Sky Garden, and left the moving car.
  • Gu Xi planned to digest his gains, take over districts in Aryadovi City, clear Westminster Abbey, and return to Bailian City at Level 10.
  • Gu Xi arrived at Sky Garden and saw its white-stone villas, cloud-covered grounds, and angel patrols.
  • A squad of angels recognized Gu Xi from the City Lord's black car and explained that the City Lord had transferred the villa to him.
  • The angels told Gu Xi that Block 1 was far away and asked whether he had a mount or needed a cloud flight.

Ch. 807Claiming the Reward

Gu Xi claimed his private estate in Sky Garden and examined the rewards Xu Youming had gathered for him. After Luna estimated that the Level 6 dungeon city could raise Death City to around level 9, Gu Xi asked how they should merge it.

  • Gu Xi released the Holy Silver Evil Coffin as a mount and followed the angels to Block 1.
  • Gu Xi used his key to reveal a private estate that concealed an isolated space and gave him control over access.
  • Gu Xi found three piles of books and several rewards in the estate, including a city deed, a model marked 219, and a contract for Orange Equipment.
  • Luna examined the deed and estimated that merging its Level 6 dungeon city into Aryadovi City could raise Death City to around level 9.
  • Gu Xi recognized that the city contained a Level 4 Magic Tower and a Black Dragon Nest, then asked Luna how they should merge it.

Ch. 808Return to Aridoville

Gu Xi and Luna decided to keep Peixin City as a future Satellite City and established a City Gate at the manor before returning to Aryadovi City. There, Gu Xi learned that Dimi had reached level 8 while leading troops in Yellow Springs and had not returned.

  • Luna advised Gu Xi not to merge the complete level 6 city deed into Aryadovi City yet, but to use the city as a Satellite City once they were stronger.
  • Gu Xi agreed to place a fixed City Gate at the manor and deployed the Horizontally Openable School Gate, through which White Impermanence carried away stacks of books.
  • Luna told Gu Xi that Aryadovi City's New District was nearly relocated and most new buildings were complete, while Evil Path Demon Hall and Pure White Cloud City awaited Magic Tower upgrades.
  • Gu Xi and Luna returned to Aryadovi City through the gate near Giant Garden and saw the blood-red patterns linking Giant Graveyard Zone and Blood Cave Area.
  • Shaya told Gu Xi that Dimi had reached level 8 in Yellow Springs, continued taking missions at Soul Gathering Ground, and received the city's newly produced Vampires as reinforcements.

Ch. 809Changes in Alidovi

Gu Xi reviewed Dimi’s growing Rose Legion and told Shaya to have her return once she reached level 15 and broke through to chief-level. He then outlined a plan to divide the Aryadovi Cities into specialized districts, leaving Luna and Grand Princess Anna to map out how it could work.

  • Gu Xi checked Dimi’s Level 4 legion, recognized her progress, and instructed Shaya to tell her to return at level 15 after reaching chief-level.
  • Gu Xi traveled toward Aryadovi’s center and saw that many Training Camps had been moved away from the city.
  • Gu Xi told Grand Princess Anna and Eve that he planned to make the Main District Aryadovi’s administrative core and battlefield deployment center.
  • Gu Xi assigned the captured Aryadovi City as a Training District and proposed dedicated districts for Heroes, magic, Demon Plants, industry, and markets.
  • Luna and Grand Princess Anna mapped the plan and considered challenges such as relocating Evilwood Lake and accommodating the Demon Plant Zone’s crops.

Ch. 810Preparing for Battle

Gu Xi prepared to attack the remaining five periods of Aryadovi City, ordering his subordinates to organize the city and muster the troops. He left the Council Hall with his Heroes and a large undead army, confident they were ready for battle.

  • Luna explained that the Wangxiang Militia and Three Paths Demon Spring each occupied a large district in Aryadovi New City.
  • Gu Xi ordered Grand Princess Anna to muster the troops, Luna to inventory buildings for relocation, Eve to organize materials and books, and Shaya to receive saplings.
  • Amirka reported that he had learned three cavalry charge skills from the Iron Cavalry Strategy Book, and Gu Xi assigned him a leading role in the coming battle.
  • Gu Xi told his gathered Heroes that they would attack the other periods of Aryadovi City and urged them to prove their strength for future troop assignments and possible management roles.
  • Gu Xi opened the Council Hall doors and surveyed the assembled Undead Headmen and level-five-or-higher troops as his army prepared to march.

Ch. 811Setting Out on the Expedition

Gu Xi chose the York Dynasty route and led an army toward Aryadovi City, where Ghoul Shadows lurked beneath the ground and in the sky. He sent Mido ahead to break through while Kaja and Diegu prepared to engage the enemies that emerged, and battle began near the city walls.

  • Gu Xi selected the York Dynasty era and found that the princes in the Bloody Tower offered no Temporary Task.
  • Gu Xi ordered Amirka to assemble the army, taking two-thirds of the level-five and above troops while leaving the rest to guard Aryadovi City and Aryadovi Tower.
  • Gu Xi surveyed the road to Aryadovi City and spotted Ghoul Shadows concealed in the sky and underground.
  • Gu Xi sent Mido and his troops to clear a fast path to the city wall, then assigned Kaja and Diegu to fight the enemies emerging from underground.
  • Mido’s troops passed through before the underground Ghoul Shadows could react, and Kaja and Diegu led their forces into battle.

Ch. 812The Battle Begins

Kaja and Diegu led Gu Xi’s undead in a direct push through the Ghoul Shadows, while Gu Xi used Summoning to turn fallen enemies into reinforcements. The army reached Aryadovi City’s wall with the battle going smoothly.

  • Kaja and Diegu covered their troops in bone armor and led them against the Ghoul Shadows, whose forces were mostly Levels 3 to 5.
  • Gu Xi watched the battle and relied on a direct advance to prevent the Ghoul Shadows from dragging his army into a prolonged fight.
  • Unable to deploy the Summoning Tower inside Death City, Gu Xi had three batches of Death Wizards help him summon undead from the fallen Ghoul Shadows one corpse at a time.
  • Newly summoned undead charged into battle without weapons, and Kaja and Diegu reinforced them with bone armor and other effects.
  • The added undead helped clear the route, allowing Gu Xi’s main force to reach Aryadovi City’s city wall.

Ch. 813Breach the City

Gu Xi launched his first direct siege against Aryadovi City, using Ghosts and Zombies to overwhelm the defenses and smash through the city wall. As the Ghoul Shadows prepared to counterattack, Mido's troops emerged behind them and threw their formation into chaos, giving Amirka an opening to charge.

  • Mido led his troops underground to fight the Ghoul Shadows, while Gu Xi arrived and organized his siege forces.
  • Gu Xi ordered Ghosts to attack the defenders on the wall and Zombies to batter it down under a storm of arrows.
  • The Zombies smashed through the city wall, exposing thousands of Ghoul Shadows ready for a street fight.
  • Mido's troops emerged behind the Ghoul Shadows and attacked their rear, disrupting their charge.
  • Amirka warned Gu Xi that the enemy was in disarray, and Gu Xi ordered the Crimson Knights to charge and Amirka to take the district.

Ch. 814A Massacre

Amirka led the Crimson Knights and Undead Army in a coordinated charge that broke apart the Ghoul Shadow Troop, while Gu Xi’s forces swept through the battlefield. Hidden, unranked Ghoul Shadows poured from nearby houses, and Gu Xi killed them across the district with Wave of Death.

  • Amirka used Infantry-Cavalry Coordination to strengthen the Crimson Knights and Undead Army, then led them in a charge that cut through the Ghoul Shadows.
  • Gu Xi ordered the Skeleton Soldiers to kill the enemies and occupy every building, promising his troops all the spoils.
  • The Ghost Headman, Zombie Head, and Skeleton Soldiers rushed forward to fight and claim Ghoul Qi Beads, while idle Skeleton Soldiers entered nearby houses.
  • More than thirty thousand unranked Ghoul Shadows poured out of the houses and rushed the Skeleton Soldiers, with some heading toward Gu Xi.
  • Gu Xi and the Death Wizards unleashed Wave of Death across the district, killing the unranked Ghoul Shadows.

Ch. 815The Reaction in the City

After Gu Xi’s undead wiped out the Ghoul Shadows around them, three districts sent large forces toward This City. Gu Xi spotted a hidden threat behind the southern formation and ordered Kaja, Robbie, and Arroyo to attack it.

  • Gu Xi’s undead slaughtered the nearby Ghoul Shadows, toppled their houses, and looted the remains for Ghoul Qi Beads and useful items.
  • Gu Xi discovered a Zombie Head gathering wood and stone to build Battering Rams, and recognized its potential as a siege specialist.
  • Ghoul Shadow forces arrived from the east, west, and south districts, including cavalry, twisted animals, and Zombie-like hordes.
  • Gu Xi used the Mind Nether Lamp and Yellow Springs Dragon Robe Holder to investigate the southern force and sensed something concealed behind it.
  • Gu Xi ordered Kaja, Robbie, and Arroyo to lead their troops south and kill all the enemies.

Ch. 816Two-Headed Shadow Dragon

Gu Xi deployed his forces to contain the Ghoul Shadow attack while Amirka led a mixed cavalry charge. The south side’s battle escalated when a massive Two-Headed Ghoul Shadow Giant Dragon emerged, and Gu Xi sent his strongest dragon and titan forces to face it.

  • Gu Xi ordered Amirka to lead the Netherblue Knights, Pale Knights, and White Robe Iron Cavalry against the enemy cavalry.
  • Amirka used Heavy Cavalry Synchronization to charge the Ghoul Shadow Cavalry with his mixed formation.
  • Gu Xi ordered Yong Dou, the Skeleton Archers, and the Liches to attack, then summoned Ghosts to reinforce the west side.
  • The Ghosts and Gu Xi’s remaining troops held back tens of thousands of Ghoul Shadows on the west side.
  • A Two-Headed Ghoul Shadow Giant Dragon rose on the south side, and Gu Xi summoned Death Avatar-Bone Dragon and Death Avatar-Titan to confront it alongside the Nether Soul Dragon and Ghost Dragons.

Ch. 817The Art of Dragon Slaying

Gu Xi killed the Two-Headed Ghoul Shadow Giant Dragon with Death's Luck, severing the invisible connection that had been empowering it. Powerful beings noticed his actions, and the Undead Dragon Book appeared, ready to use the dragon’s corpse to summon a Bone Dragon.

  • Gu Xi used Death Avatar-Bone Dragon, the Nether Soul Dragon, and Ghost Dragons to attack the Two-Headed Ghoul Shadow Giant Dragon while he searched for a way to sever its invisible connection.
  • Gu Xi cast Death's Luck on the Two-Headed Ghoul Shadow Giant Dragon, and the roulette killed it as the black dotted line behind it snapped.
  • Gu Xi received experience for the kill and learned that powerful existences had noticed him but had not attacked.
  • Gu Xi assessed the Hellhounds guarding the Holy Silver Evil Coffin and decided he could have defeated the dragon even if it had grown stronger.
  • The Undead Dragon Book flew out before Gu Xi, and he recognized that the Two-Headed Ghoul Shadow Giant Dragon's corpse could be used to summon a Bone Dragon.

Ch. 818Cavalry Battle

Gu Xi defeated the Two-Headed Ghoul Shadow Giant Dragon in the south district and watched Amirka’s cavalry wipe out the Ghoul Shadow Cavalry in the east. The battle ended, but the black liquid from the fallen enemies began gathering around the Undead Knight corpses.

  • The Two-Headed Ghoul Shadow Giant Dragon collapsed before Gu Xi could summon its soul, leaving behind a brick staircase and two buried sets of remains where its heart had been.
  • Gu Xi sent the staircase and remains back to Aryadovi Tower as the battle in the south district neared its end.
  • Gu Xi realized that expanding the attack across more districts would strain his ability to command and that he needed to rely more on his Leaders and Heroes.
  • Amirka led his heavy cavalry through a U-turn charge that overwhelmed the Ghoul Shadow Cavalry and killed the remaining enemies in the east district.
  • Gu Xi noticed that the Ghoul Shadow Cavalry had turned into black liquid, which began gathering around the Undead Knight corpses at the center of the battlefield.

Ch. 819Strange Tactics

Gu Xi contained the Abomination black liquid by using White Bone Locusts and Bone-Eating Mud to consume it, while his forces cleared and occupied districts. After dealing with the eastern district, he finally had time to address the remaining districts.

  • Gu Xi used Flame Domain and lightning from Death Avatar-Titan and the Bone Titan to suppress the black liquid, but it repeatedly began gathering again.
  • Gu Xi ordered Grand Princess Anna to send White Bone Locusts and Bone-Eating Mud, while his Heroes defeated the Ghoul Shadow Troops and occupied the southern district; the western district remained unoccupied.
  • Grand Princess Anna sent the requested creatures along with low-level undead, who began cleaning the battlefield and settling in the district as residents.
  • Gu Xi used the black liquid to produce Ghoul Shadow Locusts, whose Weird Change skill let them combine or grow strange body parts, while Bone-Eating Mud devoured most of the liquid and neutralized its effects with soil and stones.
  • After the black liquid was cleared, Gu Xi led his troops into the eastern district and turned his attention to the other districts.

Ch. 820Dividing Troops to Attack

Gu Xi sent Amirka and several other Heroes into newly occupied districts to attack and claim territory. Mido warned that Aryadovi City's shifting routes could cause them to miss districts, prompting Gu Xi to reconsider their approach.

  • Gu Xi ordered the Ghost Squad to clear the Knight District's houses and prepare them for ordinary undead residents.
  • Gu Xi sent Amirka's cavalry east, then ordered the infantry and other units to follow and occupy the districts the cavalry captured.
  • Kaja and Diegu chose the middle route from the South Area, while Robbie and Arroyo selected separate routes suited to their troops.
  • Mido stayed behind and told Gu Xi that the city's changing routes might cause them to miss districts.
  • Gu Xi froze at Mido's warning and asked whether they might miss some districts.

Ch. 821Powerful Skill: Randomly Kill Half

Gu Xi sent Mido to search for a hidden area while his forces fought a stronger Ghoul Shadow Troop and protected their occupied territory. After the Illusion Magic Staff cursed the enemies’ luck, Gu Xi used Death’s Luck on the battlefield, and the wheel landed on a result that randomly killed half of them.

  • Mido told Gu Xi he sensed a hidden area beyond a barrier, and Gu Xi agreed to investigate it.
  • When Ghoul Shadows advanced from the west, Gu Xi sent the Ghost Dragons to attack and ordered Yong Dou to defend their occupied territory with the Magic Units.
  • Gu Xi ordered Dali to support Yong Dou, while Lewis stayed behind with a group of Ghosts.
  • The Ghost Dragons and Death Avatar-Bone Dragon devastated the Ghoul Shadows, and the Illusion Magic Staff cursed their luck.
  • Gu Xi used Death’s Luck against the Ghoul Shadows, and the result randomly killed half of them.

Ch. 822Charge Forward with All Our Might

Gu Xi’s forces exploited the Ghoul Shadows’ sudden transformation into Ghoul Qi Beads, then pushed into the West District and occupied the route where the enemy had emerged. Gu Xi led his troops into the corrupted area beyond and ordered Death Avatar-Titan to destroy its abomination-tainted houses.

  • The Ghoul Shadows froze and began turning into Ghoul Qi Beads, allowing Death Avatar-Bone Dragon, the Nether Soul Dragon, and the Ghost Dragons to slaughter them.
  • Gu Xi sent Lewis to help Yong Dou and Dali occupy the West District while they continued fighting the Ghoul Shadows.
  • Gu Xi entered the West District, found black liquid coating the ground and buildings, and ordered the Ghost Squads to collect it.
  • Gu Xi determined that one passage led toward Robbie’s battle and led his troops through the other, where the Ghoul Shadows had emerged from corrupted houses.
  • Gu Xi ordered Death Avatar-Titan to attack the abomination-corrupted houses, and the Titan raised its weapons as lightning struck them.
