Saint Viève...
Angel recalled Saint Viev Church, which she had passed on her last visit to Trier to resolve the Mirror Person problem. Apart from the headquarters at Sacred Heart Cathedral, it was the Church of the Eternal Blazing Sun's largest church in Trier. Its Guardian Angel was the church's only female angel, Saint Viève.
Saint Bonoa of the Church of Steam was on duty in Trier this month, safeguarding that city with its many buried secrets. That left Viève with more free time instead, allowing her to get here so quickly... Angel frowned slightly, finding the situation rather thorny.
Both her and Bernadette's identities were sensitive. They should not have appeared in Intis, within the Church of the Eternal Blazing Sun's territory. If they could resolve everything and leave quickly, the official Beyonders who arrived afterward could only swallow their objections and pretend not to know. But now they had been caught red-handed...
In any case, I should ask what this angel wants first. If all else fails, I'll take Bernadette into the Mirror World and run. She probably wouldn't dare follow... With that thought, Angel looked straight at the woman radiating brilliant light and asked clearly:
"Your Excellency Saint Viève of the Sun Church?"
This was not merely a polite confirmation of her identity. It was also a question as to whether she had come as an angel of the Blazing Sun, or in a more "private" capacity.
As Angel expected, Viève inclined her head slightly, then floated down toward them. Looking at Angel and Bernadette, she spoke in an ethereal voice suffused with fervent emotion:
"Angelica Zaki of the Church of Evernight, and the wanted criminal Bernadette Gustav."
*Actually, I'm a wanted criminal too, but she seems to place more importance on my status as Evernight's Blessed.
