This was the Hornacis Mountain Range, on the border between the Loen Kingdom and the Intis Republic. With an altitude of nearly six thousand meters, the terrain around its main peak was treacherous and uninhabited. Even during the war, Intis had never reached this place, leaving it in its pristine, prewar state.
After returning the Historical Projection of Creeping Hunger to its original location, Klein pointed toward the part of the mountaintop hidden among the clouds and said,
"That's where Antigonus's palace is. It lies between reality and the Mist Town I once visited, probably under the influence of the Goddess's power of concealment. Ordinary people can't discover it at all. They can only explore the ruins of the Marionette Town farther out."
Looking where Klein indicated, Angel used Dark Vision to overcome the darkness and discovered a relatively small town atop the peak beneath the crimson moonlight. Time had left it dilapidated, but its towering domes and massive stone pillars still spoke of its former glory.
Strangely, the ruined buildings surrounded a vacant patch overgrown with weeds, rather than the magnificent palace she had imagined.

Angel nodded and activated Spirit Vision. Sure enough, a palace with collapsed walls covered in moss appeared in the previously empty town center, on ground considerably higher than its surroundings. Its enormous main entrance and the windows around it seemed not to have been built for humans, reminding Angel of the Demonic Wolf Cottar's ancient castle in the Forsaken Land of the Gods.
