Within the Astral World, filled with concepts and abstract, chaotic distortions, divine kingdoms of differing appearances followed their own unique orbits, sealing the gaps that ceaselessly appeared and vanished like rising and falling tides in the fragile barrier.
One of these divine kingdoms reflected the light emitted by the others. Surrounded by concepts such as "catastrophe," "femininity," and "chaos," it constantly erupted with meteor strikes, earthquakes, volcanic eruptions, and other disasters. A closer look even revealed miniature black holes constantly devouring lava, smoke, light, and heat. Yet its central region remained intact amid all these catastrophes, taking the form of a Loen-style street.
The kingdom's owner, Angel, the Goddess of Calamity, lounged in the most comfortable position she could manage in an armchair in the sitting room of 6 Daffodil Street, watching the images in a mirror floating before her as though enjoying a movie.
The mirror showed the depths of the pale Underworld: an enormous palace floating in the void, the Phoenix Ancestor spreading her wings, and Fors, Azik, and Reinette, who were effectively her believers.
This did not, of course, mean she had stolen several believers from Klein, the Fool. Although Klein probably would not have minded, Angel believed that the Fool still held far greater weight than the Goddess of Calamity in the hearts of these three angels.
But for various reasons, they had long since recited Angel's complete Honorific Name. While she was still an angel, corresponding points of faith had already been fixed within the Mirror World, and after she became a True God and established her own divine kingdom, that two-way connection remained.
