Justice Audrey actually knew a little about the truth of the Apocalypse.
It had begun when Miss Empress commissioned her to help Queen Mystic seal away some information concerning Great Old Ones. Queen Mystic had since become an Angel, but had only been a Sequence 3 at the time. Audrey had been merely a Manipulator then and likewise could not bear the consequences of knowing such things, so after helping Bernadette, she had sealed her own memories of the matter as well.
Before Magician ventured into the cosmos, Audrey had also helped her seal away those memories after she learned of the Outer Deities in advance. Afterward, to protect herself, Audrey had again used autosuggestion to forget this knowledge, which only Angels could safely possess.
Although the two instances of self-hypnosis had not damaged Audrey's memory, they had left her with an inexplicable sense of urgency. After becoming a Dream Weaver, as she secretly pushed forward various reforms in the Loen Kingdom, she had grown utilitarian and even violated her own principles. She had directly controlled numerous nobles and members of parliament through suggestion and hypnosis, implementing policies she believed were right to accelerate the liberation of the Southern Continent's colonies and the missionary work of the churches of the Fool and the End.
Only after truly becoming an Angel, when the memories deep within her were unsealed, had Audrey understood the real cause of her anxiety. She learned that this planet faced the threat of Outer Deities and that the barrier left by the Original Creator was on the verge of collapse. The Apocalypse might arrive this very year, rather than in 1368, as many Seers had once foretold.
