The Hidden Informant

As night settled over Trier, Angel stepped down from the carriage. She declined the driver's unsolicited hotel recommendations and found herself a hotel that counted as luxurious in District 13.

I'm in Trier on "official business," after all. If I stay somewhere too shabby, the Loen Military might get suspicious when they investigate me... she muttered. Using a false identity prepared in advance and Verl D'Or banknotes bearing the portrait of the Intis Republic's first president, she checked into the Riverside Hotel.

Of course, she wore neither Irene Watson's face nor Christine Teresa's beauty, which would have drawn a crowd. Instead, she had made a few alterations with the "Falsehood" ring, creating a disguise she could just as easily have achieved through ordinary means.

This feels like my last trip to Trier. All I need is a university student keeping watch outside and a few furtive Bureau 8 members staring from across the street... She reached her suite and quickly put away her modest amount of luggage. She kept her valuables on her person or tossed them into the Mirror World so they could not be stolen.

Once that was done, she called room service and ordered a modest dinner of local specialties. As she ate beside a window overlooking the Serenzo River at night, she considered what to do next.

First, my official "assignment" is to establish a route for smuggling arms. That shouldn't be hard. I won't even need to handle it myself. I can contact Helene and have her provide a few connections, preferably ones with some apparent link to the Sauron Family but no real ties. The weapons don't actually need to pass through Intis; it's just a cover...

*Second, there's the Church of Evernight's assignment to investigate the "Mirror Person." The Intis Republic recognizes only
