The moment Angel appeared beside the familiar bronze table, she sensed something was wrong:
The gray fog swirling around the bronze table and the Tarot Club members, along with the temple that resembled a giant's dwelling, felt different to her than before.
Previously, the gray fog had been the gray fog, the temple had been the temple, and Mr. Fool had seemed like the "link" between them. Now, however, his relationship with the entire expanse of gray fog was much more harmonious, as though he had merged into it. He was impossible to fathom; she could only feel his presence everywhere.
If this mysterious being was an ancient god now attempting to return to the world, then he had undoubtedly recovered a great deal of his strength!
The thought of ancient gods brought those strangely named "sefirahs" to Angel's mind, along with her mysterious connection to the City of Calamity.
Once I advance to Sequence 3, perhaps my relationship with that sefirah will change too. At first, I didn't even know what had happened when I resurrected. Then I gained memories of entering that city, and lately I've even been able to explore it continuously... A trace of anticipation rose in Angel's heart, accompanied by a glimmer of understanding.
She suspected that this mysterious Grey Fog Space was also a manifestation of some kind of sefirah. That would be fitting for Mr. Fool, an ancient god who was recovering his power.
I can't keep thinking about this. It's blasphemy... She reined in her thoughts and let her gaze wander, only to make another discovery.
