Angel became entangled in Trissy’s plight while helping Sherlock and the Machinery Hivemind hunt the Desire Apostle. The investigation exposed Jason Beria’s murders and ended with Angel confronting the Apostle in the sewers as Sherlock joined the fight.

• Angel met Trissy at Rose Manor, learned the Demoness Sect and Prince Edessak were controlling her, and refused to help her escape or betray Sevillea.
• Angel joined Sherlock and Eye of Wisdom’s effort to protect detectives targeted by a Desire Apostle, then helped fight the Apostle when he attacked Isengard Stanton’s house.
• The Apostle escaped, and Arrodes helped the Machinery Hivemind connect the Devil Dog case to Jason Beria and uncover his unfinished Devil-summoning ritual.
• Jason evaded the authorities, killed three Mandated Punishers, and appeared to flee by ship, while Sherlock suspected the apparent escape was a diversion.
• The real Desire Apostle attacked Duke Negan and killed him before escaping into a sewer, and Arrodes revealed his route toward Campbell Street.
• Angel pursued the Apostle through the sewers while Sherlock prepared to join her, and Angel confronted him in a clash of ice and fire.

Angel and Sherlock uncovered a trafficking network with ties to powerful figures, while Angel’s investigation into threats against Lily exposed the involvement of the Secret Order. The arc ended with Klein and Angel confronting Rafte Pound beneath an abandoned church, where a mysterious presence seized control of him.

• Angel and Sherlock killed the Desire Apostle, but Sealed Artifact 1-42 shattered Angel’s body before she survived and recovered at Sherlock’s home.
• Angel helped Audrey investigate Duke Negan’s assassination and learned that Prince Edessak was involved with Trissy, a Demoness who escaped her watchers.
• Angel and Xio captured Baelen, who revealed a kidnapping network directed by a masked Judge, but Harras died before he could disclose the handover location.
• Angel reported the trafficking clues to the Hanged Man and Sherlock, then suspected that royal and military figures were involved in the operation.
• Angel’s investigation into Kaliwa Dupont’s threats against Lily was disrupted by a Faceless, whom she identified as a member of the Secret Order.

Angel and Klein reunited just as the Demoness Sect began its sacrificial ritual in Backlund, and Angel advanced to Sequence 5 while helping stop the deadly smog. After surviving the disaster, they decided to leave Backlund and began arranging new identities.

• Angel met Lady Despair Panacea, who tested her story and concealed that the Sect’s operation was about to begin, while Angel realized Trissy might serve as the Primordial Demoness’s vessel.
• Klein discovered that Trissy had killed Talim, then learned that Lady Despair and Mr. A planned to summon the True Creator through a mass sacrifice in East Borough.
• As the poisonous smog spread, Angel attacked Panacea, but the Hooded Woman saved her and gave her Trissy’s Sapphire Ring and an Affliction Beyonder Characteristic.
• Angel advanced to Sequence 5 and used Disease Control to replace the deadly pathogens in the smog, while Klein disrupted Mr. A’s ritual with the Master Key.
• Klein found Angel’s body in the smog’s center, but she awakened at his home and confirmed that she remained a Demoness of Pleasure.
• Azik warned Angel and Klein that Ince Zangwill might return to Backlund, and the pair agreed to leave the city after admitting they feared losing each other.
• Angel and Klein saw the devastation and helped at Harvest Church, while the authorities investigated the ritual and Backlund’s survivors began mourning and seeking relief.

Angel and Klein left Backlund, advanced their plans aboard the White Agate, and encountered Danitz and the dangers of Bansy Harbor. The arc ended with Angel joining the Mandated Punishers against a Weather God cult led by Bishop Miller.

• Aboard the White Agate, Klein struggled with his competing identities, while Angel and Klein fought fishmen and earned money from their spoils.
• At the Tarot Club, Sun described a repeating expedition in a ruined city, and the members discussed his clues and their own potion needs.
• In Damir Harbor, Angel and Klein confronted Sea Eagle Logan and met Danitz, then used Danitz’s appearance to drive off a pirate ship pursuing the White Agate.
• When the ship stopped at Bansy Harbor, Angel and Klein stayed aboard, then went ashore after several passengers and crew members failed to return.
• Angel and Klein fought Flying Heads and searched the foggy harbor with Danitz and other travelers, eventually finding Captain Erlan at the Storm Church.
• After learning that Bishop Miller led the Weather God cult and was sacrificing residents and travelers, Angel raced to the mountain and joined the Mandated Punishers fighting headless zombies.
