Ch. 1241Travelogue (double-length installment)

Angel learned that Herabergen was willing to relinquish his claim to the White Tower pathway and let another god pursue the Chaos Sea, provided he could survive. In Yarnam, travel writer Monica recounted the city’s unusual attractions and the return of a stolen church mural before heading to cover a group wedding.

  • Angel asked Hella Berg about her role in connecting the sealed Western Continent with the outside world, and Herabergen said he would give up his divine position if doing so let him stay alive.
  • Angel told Herabergen that the Dark Angel had identified the White Angel as the first to act at the Betrayal Banquet, raising questions about whether the Sun would accept a compromise.
  • Monica described her stay in Yarnam, including its mild climate, inexpensive food, a notorious pirate captured by Gehrman Sparrow, and a mural stolen from the Fool’s church.
  • Monica paid the magician Merlin Hermes to grant her wish, and the missing mural of the Calamity Angel returned to its frame that evening.
  • Monica mailed her travelogue, then went to the Fool’s church to observe Yarnam’s upcoming group wedding.

Ch. 1242Before the wedding

Monica attended Yarnam City’s mass wedding and helped novelist Alesu shape his sprawling adventure story, while angels, old acquaintances, and other guests gathered in the Prayer Hall. Klein and Angel prepared to begin the ceremony, and the couples appeared in a burst of flames after the entrance stayed empty.

  • Monica met Alesu at the wedding and suggested dividing his complicated novel into a seven-book series, which he eagerly accepted as its framework.
  • Bernadette and Anne discussed the city’s residents, while Amon attended and another angel entered the hall.
  • Azik arrived for the wedding and spoke with Arianna about leaving his dream behind to attend a long-awaited ceremony.
  • Leonard recognized Azik, learned that the Death Consul remembered his Tingen colleagues from a dream, and nervously hinted to Shermane that they should consider marriage.
  • Klein introduced himself as Merlin Hermes and announced the wedding, but when no one appeared at the entrance, figures materialized on the red carpet in flashes of fire.

Ch. 1243A group wedding

Four couples took part in a group wedding in Yanan, while Monica watched without realizing that Klein and Angel were using marionettes to stage a wedding between themselves. After the ceremony, Angel noticed Klein’s marionette control threads converging on his real body and entered the Mirror World to meet him.

  • Monica watched Sherlock and Irene, Klein and Angel, Dawn and Christine, and Gehrman Sparrow and Angelica arrive for the group wedding.
  • The archbishop married Klein and Angel, and all four couples kissed as Merlin released colorful streamers over the guests.
  • Merlin asked Gehrman to tell his love story, and Klein’s marionette amused the guests with a tale about Sonia blood wine.
  • Angel revealed that Klein and the other grooms were marionettes controlled by him, while she controlled the brides, making their group wedding a ceremony between the two of them.
  • Angel saw the marionettes’ Spirit Body Threads converge on Klein’s real body, left a Mirror Substitution behind, and entered the Mirror World.

Ch. 1244Mystic Seer

Klein drank the Sequence 1 Mystic Seer potion and fought to preserve his identity as his body dissolved into the Spirit World. He reclaimed his self, completed his advancement, and became the true master of Sefirah Castle.

  • Klein prepared the potion from the Mystic Seer characteristic once belonging to Antigonus and nine Spirit World specialties while his allies stood ready across Yarnam City.
  • Klein drank the potion, and his body disintegrated into information that flowed into the Spirit World, leaving his consciousness close to being overwhelmed.
  • The lives and emotions of Yarnam City's residents drew Klein toward the city's Spirit World projection as he struggled to separate his essential self from his many identities.
  • Angel took control of the masterless marionettes so the wedding could continue while Klein recovered his fundamental identity.
  • Klein re-formed with a complete Mystic Seer characteristic, and Sefirah Castle appeared as a mark on his brow.
  • Antigonus, Pallez, Zarathus, Amon, and Bethel sensed that Sefirah Castle had gained a true master.

Ch. 1245Smooth Promotion

After advancing to Sequence 1, Klein explored his newfound control over Sefirah Castle, located several of his rivals, and stabilized against the mental imprints within his characteristic. He returned to the wedding in Yarnam City, where his simultaneous kisses left Angel sensing something was wrong.

  • Klein used his new connection to Sefirah Castle to glimpse Amon, Mr. "Door," Zarathus, Antigonus, and Pallez, but chose not to pursue them.
  • Klein returned to Sefirah Castle in his physical body and reflected on his progress toward mastering it and becoming a Sequence 0 Fool.
  • Klein resisted the mental imprints within his Sequence 1 characteristic with help from his anchors and the imprints of its former owners.
  • Klein assessed his new Sequence 1 abilities and realized he had surpassed Angel in both sequence and command of Sefirah power.
  • Klein returned to the wedding and kissed Angel through his appearances as Klein, Sherlock, Gehrman, Dwayne, and Merlin, making Angel sense something was wrong.

Ch. 1246Sacred Action

After the wedding, Azik shared news about the Phoenix Ancestor Gregrace with Arianna, while the guests discussed Amon, the Fool’s awakening, and the marionette wedding. Once the cathedral emptied, Klein and Angel held a private wedding ceremony that became an intimate encounter beneath a prototype of the Fool’s divine kingdom.

  • Monica left the Prayer Hall as Azik told Arianna that Gregrace’s body had entered a strange sleep connected to new life and a power beyond the barrier.
  • Azik greeted Bernadette and Anne, who planned to investigate the sister marionettes in Yarnam City and keep watch on Amon.
  • Leonard asked Pallez whether he could stop being parasitized, while Shermane realized the wedding’s brides and grooms were all Angel and Klein in different identities.
  • Antigonus left after discussing the dangers of using Tudor’s Conqueror characteristic with Glaide Sauron.
  • Merlin sent the wedding marionettes home, and Klein and Angel exchanged their vows alone at the altar.
  • Klein raised a prototype of his divine kingdom over the cathedral and used Grafting to connect Angel’s senses to several other marionettes.

Ch. 1247Willing to take the risk

Klein and Angel discussed their plans to confront the Primordial Demoness, while Angel recruited Helene to use her advancement to Unaging as bait despite the danger. Angel then met Alicia Tamara in Trier and learned that a protected Mirror Person named Moran Avini might hold important secrets.

  • Klein told Angel he had advanced to Mystic Seer, and they discussed what support they needed before acting against the Primordial Demoness.
  • Angel explained her plan to contact the Chaos Demoness through the Mirror People in Trier and said she still needed to confirm Helene's wishes and the True Creator's help.
  • Angel offered Helene the chance to advance to Unaging as bait for the Primordial Demoness, and Helene agreed to take the risk.
  • Tracy embraced Helene and spoke about her sister, while Helene accepted the danger of the plan.
  • Angel met Alicia Tamara in Trier, learned that Mirror People were protecting Minister Moran Avini, and asked where he was.

Ch. 1248Get in here

Derrick learned that the True Creator had been asked to join a battle against the Primordial Demoness and replied, “I understand.” Meanwhile, Angel monitored Trier from the Mirror World as Yalixiya and Alicia Tamara abducted Minister Moran Avini.

  • Derrick met Lovia, who told him that Angelica Zaki had asked the True Creator to consider helping kill the Primordial Demoness.
  • Lovia prayed to the True Creator on Angel’s behalf and received the clear reply, “I understand.”
  • Angel watched Moran Avini through the Mirror World while Yalixiya entered his study and fought him.
  • Yalixiya overpowered Moran, but he escaped into a mirror and tried to flee through the Mirror World.
  • Angel pulled Moran into the Mirror World, and Alicia Tamara followed before leaving through a Mirror Tunnel.
  • The Purifiers discovered Moran was missing after the study’s sealing power vanished and requested help from the nearest church of the Eternal Blazing Sun.

Ch. 1249Vortex

Angel captured Moran Avini in the Mirror World and uncovered how deeply Mirror People had infiltrated the Avini Family and Trier. After Moran revealed a looming “vortex,” his head exploded, and Angel glimpsed a mysterious woman fleeing through the Mirror Tunnels.

  • Angel brought Moran Avini into the Mirror World, where Diste arrived but quickly fled without confronting her.
  • Under Angel’s Charm, Moran revealed that he had posed as Moran Avini since 1315 and that more than a third of the Avini Family were Mirror People.
  • Moran explained how he could contact the Mirror People’s leader through an antique silver mirror and named his deputy, Griffith, as its future custodian.
  • Moran told Angel that Nast Solomon had approached him for the School of Truth and spoken of an enormous “vortex” that would sweep everyone into it.
  • Moran’s head exploded before Angel could stop the change, and Angel saw an indistinct woman in a black dress disappear through the Mirror Tunnels.

Ch. 1250Empress Roselle

Angel pursued Roselle's Mirror Person and learned about the divided Primordial Demoness, the Mirror People's goal of entering reality, and their potential fusion with their originals. Their discovery of an unexpected Primordial Demoness Card of Blasphemy led Angel to suspect the Hidden Sage had created it.

  • Angel chased the black-dressed woman into the War Fog around the City of Calamity and discovered she was Empress Roselle, Roselle Gustav's Mirror Person.
  • Empress Roselle explained that Mirror People born beneath Trier could not leave unless they replaced their originals, and that she wanted to make the Mirror World into a reality of its own.
  • Empress Roselle revealed that a second Primordial Demoness existed in the deepest Mirror World, sometimes issued conflicting commands, and sought to fuse with female Demoness Mirror People.
  • Angel learned that Empress Roselle shared Roselle's feelings for Bernadette, Anne, and Bornova but kept her distance because her emotions were more extreme and irrational.
  • Empress Roselle produced a genuine Sequence 0 Primordial Demoness Card of Blasphemy, while denying that she had made it.
  • Angel realized that the card's creation required the Knowledge Emperor's power and power beyond the gods, and suspected the Hidden Sage was responsible.

Ch. 1251The true "Demoness" card

Angel learned that Empress Roselle’s true Demoness card held different potion rituals from her own and confirmed the Sequence 0 ritual. As the world recovered from war and the apocalypse loomed, Angel prepared to confront Cheek with Klein’s help.

  • Empress Roselle rejected the Hidden Sage as the creator of the Demoness and Red Priest cards, then returned them to Angel and asked her to care for Bernadette and Anne.
  • Angel examined the true Demoness card and discovered its rituals for Sequences 4 through 1 differed from those on her own card, while its Sequence 0 ritual matched the first Blasphemy Slate.
  • A month later, the war ended, Feysac and Intis signed an armistice, and Backlund recovered as Angel assessed the gods’ threats and chances of becoming Great Old Ones.
  • Angel entered Klein’s summoned gray fog and arrived in a sitting room where Klein waited beside several Blasphemy cards, Sealed Artifacts, and the Magic Wishing Lamp.

Ch. 1252Who was an enemy, who was a friend

Angel and Klein assessed their growing strength and mapped the Gods and Outer Deities likely to become allies or enemies in the coming conflict. The chapter ended with Angel’s Mirror Person receiving a prayer from a middle-aged man in a white robe.

  • Angel realized that she and Klein could wield enough Grade 0 Sealed Artifacts and Sefirah power to rival an Orthodox Church.
  • Angel reported that the Eternal Blazing Sun Church had crippled the Mirror People’s organization, while the Primordial Moon’s followers had retreated and the Churches’ Angels and Saints were returning north.
  • Angel and Klein identified the Evernight Goddess as their current ally and the Primordial Demoness Cheek as their enemy, while considering the positions of the True Gods and Outer Deities.
  • Klein revealed that he had persuaded the Son of Chaos to cooperate by promising to send the Magic Wishing Lamp into space before the end of 1368.
  • Angel’s Mirror Person began reciting Cheek’s Honorific Name, then heard someone pray to Angel and saw a middle-aged man in a white robe.

Ch. 1253Everything was ready

Angel and Klein prepared for a decisive battle against the Primordial Demoness, while Adam revealed to the Mirror Person that rumors of his and Amon’s alliance with the Outer Deities were true. Angel also arranged for her Mirror Person to advance as a Conqueror if necessary, and Ilian Sauron received the materials to become an Unaging Demoness.

  • Adam told the Mirror Person that he and Amon had indeed contacted and joined the Outer Deities, and explained that their goal was to kill Cheek and claim the vacant Demoness divine seat.
  • Angel and Klein finalized their plan to draw out Cheek and kill her, with wounding her as a fallback, while leaving their allies to guard against other threats.
  • Angel’s Mirror Person reported that neither the Chaos Demoness nor the Primordial Demoness had answered her prayer, then agreed to become a Conqueror if the battle required it.
  • Angel embraced her Mirror Person and entrusted her with the possible advancement, which could let them synchronize their power and fight Cheek directly.
  • Anne delivered Ilian Sauron a letter with the Unaging Demoness potion formula, ritual, materials, and Beyonder characteristic; Helene resolved to reconcile with her mirror self, while Tracy took out a glowing charm.

Ch. 1254We can begin

Tracy chose not to use the Ice Crystal Charm to warn her mother about Ilian Sauron’s advancement, but Reinette confiscated it and brought it to Anne Gustav. Anne finished restoring the city’s laws, altered the rules governing Mirror Persons, and told Angel they could begin.

  • Tracy considered crushing the Ice Crystal Charm to warn her mother, but put it away because she did not want to endanger Helene’s dream.
  • A powerful Spirit World creature appeared and identified herself as Reinette Tinekerr, then took the charm after Tracy explained her mother’s instructions.
  • Reinette delivered the charm to Anne Gustav at City Hall and discovered that the city’s laws had been reaffirmed under the Trunsoest Brass Book.
  • Anne watched the Brass Book publish the restored laws, then changed its rules about Mirror Persons.
  • Anne crushed the confiscated charm and told Angel that they could begin.

Ch. 1255Vortex Weaver

Angel prepared to lure Cheek into a battle while Ilian Sauron drank the Unaging potion in Dream City. As powerful forces moved into action across the world, Roselle sought to balance his corruption and Amon began a ritual to bring Mr. Door back.

  • Angel arranged for Ilian to advance as bait for Cheek and waited on a remote beach, ready to confront the Primordial Demoness.
  • Nast Solomon performed a gray transaction that drew on the Uncertain Mist to bring Roselle’s corruption toward equilibrium, with the Magic Wishing Lamp promised as compensation.
  • Amon invoked the Great Door of All Doors using a ritual, and a giant arm reached through the doorway toward him.
  • Hidden followers of evil deities began carrying out rituals, Anthony Stevenson started undoing the seals on 0-17, and a black shadow spread west from the God War Ruins.
  • Ilian drank the Unaging Demoness potion, and several Catastrophe Demonesses appeared above Dream City.

Ch. 1256The Demonesses' assault

The Demoness Sect launched a disaster-fueled assault on Dream City to kill Ilian Sauron before she could advance to Unaging, but the city’s defenders resisted and the battlefield was divided into separate duels. As Ilian drank the Unaging Potion, the Orange Witch appeared behind her with a card showing a wounded, decapitated woman.

  • Eight high-ranking Demonesses emerged from the Mirror World, wielded Grade 0 Sealed Artifacts, and unleashed disasters against Dream City.
  • Shardi and Judith found a weak point near the primeval forest, and their attacks broke through the city’s defenses.
  • Bernadette, Anne, Azik, Reinette, and Glaide rose to defend Dream City, while Eleanor’s Stern Stone Pillar divided the battlefield into separate fights.
  • The Demonesses were matched against the defenders, while the four Demonesses of Unaging surrounded Glaide.
  • Ilian drank the Unaging Potion inside Saint Angelica Church, and the Orange Witch appeared behind her with a card depicting a wounded, decapitated woman.

Ch. 1257The "Great Terror" in the Mirror (Two in One)

Talia attacked Helene and Tracy during Helene’s advancement, but Amon stole Tamara’s Ever-changing Card as Helene began merging with her Mirror Person. The Great Terror threatened to corrupt the fusion, while Cheek ambushed Angel in the Mirror World and dragged her away.

  • Talia used Tamara’s Ever-changing Card to attack Tracy, but the city’s laws restrained Tracy before Amon appeared and took the card.
  • Helene met her Mirror Person in the Mirror World, and the two began merging after reconciling with each other.
  • The Great Terror appeared over Helene and her Mirror Person, and Angel saw the Mirror Person beginning to lose control through divination.
  • Judith pressed Cheek’s Sapphire Ring to her forehead, prompting Angel to enter the Mirror World and rush toward the battlefield.
  • Cheek ambushed Angel, immobilized her with tentacles, and dragged her into the depths of the Mirror World.
  • Klein sensed Angel’s prayer light dim, while Saint Anthony removed the seals protecting the hooded woman beneath Saint Samuel Cathedral and she vanished.

Ch. 1258Whispers in the Ear (Two chapters in one)

Cheek captured Angel and revealed that she and Tudor had been suppressing the Primordial God Almighty’s revived consciousness, while their union with Bethel’s Special Mirror World had created the Great Terror. Angel relayed Cheek’s true honorific name to Klein, who alerted the gods and his allies as the Great Terror turned toward the City of Calamity.

  • Cheek carried the immobilized Angel toward Fourth Epoch Trier and explained that she had anticipated Angel’s plan and had been waiting for a blessed one of the City of Calamity.
  • Cheek revealed that she and Tudor had sought to merge the Demoness and Red Priest pathways with the City of Calamity, and that their union in Bethel’s Special Mirror World had given birth to the Great Terror.
  • Angel’s Mirror Person told Klein that Cheek’s other honorific titles were “Female Body of the Primordial God” and “Mirrored Original Creator,” then watched the City of Calamity’s sky.
  • The Great Terror rejected Helene’s mirror person as its target and raced deeper into the Mirror World toward the City of Calamity.
  • Klein understood the danger and sent warnings through the crimson stars to his allies, including Alger, Audrey, Leonard, Emlyn, and Derrick.

Ch. 1259The Astral World and "Door" (double chapter)

Amon’s bargain brought Bethel Abraham back and removed the Great Mother’s corruption, but Bethel’s apotheosis opened the way for her power to invade as the gods struggled against the Supernova Dominator. Amon’s warning halted the assault, while in the Mirror World Cheek revealed the mirrored Blood Emperor, Alistar Tudor, to Angel.

  • The Supernova Dominator attacked Earth’s Astral barrier, forcing the gods to join their divine kingdoms to defend it.
  • Nast’s transaction extracted the Great Mother’s corruption from Bethel Abraham and Roselle, while the Rose School’s Indulgence Faction paid the agreed costs.
  • Bethel Abraham’s escape from the Flesh Door fulfilled the Door apotheosis ritual, causing doors to open and seals to fail across the world.
  • The Mother Goddess of Depravity tried to send her crimson power through the Flesh Door, but Amon warned that the Original Creator’s awakening could threaten her too, halting the attack.
  • Cheek told Angel that the gods were occupied and revealed the mirrored Blood Emperor, Alistar Tudor, in the Mirror World.

Ch. 1260Fusion

Cheek revealed her plan to fuse Angel, Tudor, the two aspects of the Mirrored Original Creator, and the City of Calamity, while preparing to merge the black-dressed Demoness into Angel. As the fusion began, Klein remained unable to locate Angel, but the Mother of the Sky told him that a future Angel of Redemption was working to find her.

  • Cheek explained that Tudor's Mirror Person survived his death and revealed that she and Tudor had fused with the Mirrored Original Creator's feminine and masculine aspects.
  • Cheek fused Tudor with his Mirror Person and the Conqueror characteristic, then split off an Apocalypse persona to preserve her power as the fusion continued.
  • Cheek brought the black-dressed Primordial Demoness to Angel and began the planned fusion, but the Demoness smiled faintly as she approached.
  • Klein searched for Angel through Sefirah Castle but could not locate her or reach her through divination and other methods.
  • The Mother of the Sky appeared to Klein and said that someone was working to find Angel: a future Angel of Redemption.
