Coastal town of Monet...
"I rented three rooms. Let's rest here for the day! I happen to have a job to do."
Gildarts arrived at the hotel and rented three rooms. Gildarts had one room to himself; Ul, Gray, and Lyon shared one; while Makarov and Ywen shared the last one. After securing the rooms, Gildarts turned to the group and spoke.
"A job?! What kind of job could you possibly have? Don't tell me you're helping some woman teach a scumbag a lesson again?!"
"Speaking of scumbags, though, I did just see someone going around flirting with young girls!"
Ywen looked at Gildarts and spoke earnestly.
"What?! Something like that happened? Then I can't just let that scumbag go! Ywen, hurry up and tell me where that bastard who keeps flirting with young girls is?!"
After hearing Ywen's words, Gildarts spoke in shock.
"Oh, I just saw him run into the bathroom..."
Ywen answered Gildarts honestly.
"Thanks for providing me with such valuable information, Ywen!"
Gildarts' heart skipped a beat. Driven by his mission to protect cute girls all over the world, he entered the bathroom. He looked around, but there was no one inside. In the end, Gildarts' gaze settled on the enormous mirror in the bathroom!
Gildarts stared at his reflection in the mirror and fell into deep thought.
"You little bastard..."
"Are you looking for a fight?"
A few minutes later, Gildarts finally caught on. He left the bathroom, strode up to Ywen with a ferocious expression, and roared.
"I'll oblige you!"
Ywen remained utterly calm. Fairy Tail Mindset told him: less talk—if you don't like it, fight!
"You two, behave yourselves! This is a town!"
"If you two start fighting, the whole city will disappear!"
Makarov pushed Ywen and Gildarts apart, sighing helplessly as he spoke.
He simply could not imagine the consequences of Gildarts and Ywen starting a battle here!
Whether it was Gildarts or Ywen, both of their magic was far too outrageous and overbearing. If they fought, the destruction would be unimaginable...
"Anyway, wait here for me. Once I finish this last job to subjugate Unicel, we'll head back to the guild together. Come to think of it, I'm starting to miss the guild's beer."
Out of respect for Makarov, Gildarts decided not to pursue the matter with Ywen. He turned around, leaving Ywen and the others with what he believed to be an incomparably dashing silhouette, then slowly walked away.
"Ywen, what kind of job do you think Gildarts is going to do?"
Makarov and Ywen leaned against the window, watching the reckless Gildarts crash through the hotel wall as he left. Makarov asked in confusion.
"Probably a job involving women!"
Ywen answered without even thinking.
"True..." Makarov nodded helplessly after hearing Ywen's words, then continued sighing. "Honestly, every last one of you is like this. You make this old man worry. When will you all finally grow up?!"
The guild's strongest wizard was like this. Really, who knew whether that was a blessing or a curse?
"In any case, when it's time to fight, fight with everything you have. When it's time to rest, rest with everything you have!"
Reasoning that they could not waste a hotel stay they got for free, and that any free advantage had to be taken, Makarov lay down on the bed and closed his eyes to rest.
However, Makarov and Ywen had not rested for long before a loud commotion erupted in the street outside their window.
"What happened?!"
Awakened by the noise, Makarov looked at Ywen with a balding headache and asked.
"Guild Master, come over here! There's a good show!"
Standing by the window and watching the scene outside, Ywen's lips curled slightly upward.
"A good show?!"
After hearing Ywen's words, Makarov narrowed his eyes.
Makarov instinctively became deeply suspicious of the words "good show" coming from Ywen. Deep in his heart, an ominous feeling sounded the alarm...
After thinking for only a few seconds, Makarov walked over to Ywen's side. Then his body slowly grew larger, only stopping once he was taller than the windowsill. He leaned out and looked down through the window.
"Move! Don't get in the way!"
There, in the street, a middle-aged man with short reddish-brown hair slicked back, wearing a dark cloak, was running forward while carrying two women in his arms. Not far behind him, someone was desperately chasing after him. Needless to say, the target was that middle-aged man himself!
"That's Gildarts, right? And he's carrying two girls over his shoulders, right?!"
Makarov's eyes trembled as he looked at the scene outside. His heart tightened. He knew it—whatever Ywen called a good show was never going to be anything good.
Yes, the man with short reddish-brown hair who was carrying two girls and running forward was none other than Gildarts!
Gildarts held two girls in his arms. One looked to be around twenty years old, dressed in a sexy, cheap gown, and looked like a worker from certain establishments!
The other looked disheveled, with clothes covered in patches, and appeared to be about the same age as Ywen.
Looking closely, the two girls bore some resemblance to each other. They might have been sisters.
"Don't run! Give my people back!"
"No matter which guild you mages belong to, you're not allowed to cause such trouble!"
Behind Gildarts was a tall mage, sprinting at full speed with a baby bottle clenched in his mouth. Riding on that mage's back was a short, sleazy-looking middle-aged man, who was practically screaming at Gildarts like a madman.
"Ywen, what do you make of this situation?"
Makarov stared at the scene before him, deep in thought.
"Gildarts probably took a liking to that owner's waitress, then carried off both the waitress and her younger sister, right?" Ywen analyzed what he was seeing, then added, "But honestly, Gildarts is far too clumsy! He actually got spotted by the owner. If it were me, I definitely wouldn't let anyone find out!"
"No, no matter the reason, isn't that still wrong?!" Makarov sighed helplessly. Then a faint golden gleam flashed in his eyes. "Damn Gildarts, there's a limit to fooling around! I'm going to make him let them go right now!"
"Actually, there's another possibility. Those two girls might be Gildarts's mission targets..."
Ywen thought for a moment before continuing.
"GILDARTS!!!"
But before Ywen could finish, Makarov let out an angry roar and jumped straight down from the second floor.
He landed behind the owner chasing Gildarts, then his body rapidly expanded. In the blink of an eye, he transformed into a giant and began charging down the street.
"Looks like the Guild Master didn't hear what I said afterward!"
"Honestly, none of them ever give anyone any peace of mind..."
Watching Makarov leap out of the window and onto the street before he could finish speaking, Ywen let out a helpless sigh.
