Ywen’s Fairy Tail returned to X793 after defeating Acnologia and reshaping the Alvarez Empire, then entered the Grand Magic Games with an overwhelming roster. The arc left the competition underway, with Ywen defeating Sting in a single blow and being announced as Ishgar’s strongest Mage.

• Precht overwhelmed Ultear and Meredy until Ul appeared to protect Ultear, and the visiting Ultear revealed that her guild came from another universe.
• Selene caused the moon to fall, prompting a cross-world battle in Magnolia where Erza Belserion and Mirajane’s clash destroyed Fairy Tail’s guild hall.
• Ywen’s group defeated Acnologia, helped Precht create Grimoire Heart, and returned through the Eclipse Gate to their world with the other Fairy Tail wizards.
• The returning mages reunited with Fairy Tail, and Makarov entered the guild in the Grand Magic Games after learning the winner would receive one hundred million j.
• Fairy Tail sent several teams to Crocus, where its powerful competitors surprised the other guilds and Golden Owl announced that it had come to reclaim Athena.
• Ywen’s Apocalypse Team A and Zeref’s Apocalypse Team B entered the Games, and Ywen persuaded Pumpkin Head to replace the scheduled event with a captains’ match.
• Gildarts destroyed the captains’ maze, while Erza, Kagura, and Kirin engaged other contestants and Ywen challenged Sting’s claim to be the strongest Dragon Slayer Mage.
• Sting attacked Ywen with Holy Nova, but Ywen shattered the spell and defeated him with one strike, after which Pumpkin Head named Ywen the strongest Mage on Ishgar Continent.

Ywen and Fairy Tail dominated the Grand Magic Games as their rivals fell, while Yukino and Sherria joined Fairy Tail and the swimsuit contest became a clash between Selene and Aileen. Aileen defeated Selene in Elentir, and the arc ended with Ignia challenging all of Four-Headed Hound after overwhelming its two contestants.

• Ywen defeated Sting, Narubudinku, Jura, and Ichiya with single strikes, while Pacas failed to persuade Erza and Gildarts to ally with him.
• Acnologia transformed into a dragon and defeated Rogue after Skiadrum took control of Rogue’s body, while August forced Sai to surrender and won his match.
• Ivan Dreyar revealed himself as Alexei and summoned Raven Tail against Laxus, who defeated the guild in one blow and rejected Ivan’s attempt to turn him against Fairy Tail.
• Fairy Tail’s Magnolia Town Team A defeated Dragon Eater Team B after Lucy summoned the Celestial Spirit King, and Wendy later defeated Sherria and befriended her.
• Kirin proposed a challenge against four guilds and defeated their representatives, while Yukino and Sherria joined Fairy Tail after the hotel festivities and damage bill.
• Selene dominated the swimsuit contest and defeated the assembled mages, but Aileen appeared and fought her, diverting her asteroids to Elentir before the two moved their battle there.
• Aileen defeated Selene in dragon forms, returned to the arena, and was declared Fiore’s number one beauty before Old Toma announced the two-on-two match.
• Ignia mocked Four-Headed Hound, knocked Bargus and Iyeka away, and demanded that the entire guild fight him together.

Fairy Tail exposed its influence, defeated God Ankhseram, and transformed the God Realm before returning home. Eclair joined the guild, where she discovered that Gildarts had destroyed her hometown and then crushed the letter her father had left her.

• Ignia attacked Four-Headed Hound and nearly struck the spectators, but Aileen, Acnologia, and August stopped him, and Aileen forced him to accept her authority as Ywen’s mother.
• Damagral defeated the challengers in his Great Labyrinth as Golden Owl’s alchemists removed Duke Barbaroa, and Old Toma declared Fairy Tail the Grand Magic Games winner.
• Fairy Tail’s teams and allies began a destructive free-for-all, while Warrod, Toma, and other leaders revealed the guild’s control over the Magic Council and its ties to powerful figures across the world.
• After three days of fighting, Aileen, Ywen, and Erza were named the winners, and Ywen declared that Fairy Tail would next face God Ankhseram.
• Zeref opened the Eclipse Gate, and Fairy Tail entered the God Realm, recruited the God of Time, and tore through the realm on their way to Ankhseram.
• Ywen defeated Ankhseram, and Aileen stripped him of his godhood before he was reincarnated as a mortal, while Fairy Tail and its allies removed the other gods’ powers.
• Aileen’s divine power made Michelle a real person, and Fairy Tail returned to Magnolia, where Makarov handed out awards and Eclair arrived seeking refuge.
