"The six elements of a Beast Martial Soul all refer to the enhancements provided after Martial Soul Possession. Strength refers to the body's muscles, including the arms and legs. Speed refers to movement speed and reaction speed. Endurance refers to physical stamina and Soul Power consumption after Martial Soul Possession. Defense refers to resistance against physical and special damage. Energy refers to whether it has special attributes, such as flame, water, lightning, and so on, while also taking into account how much Soul Power those special attributes consume. Finally, Special refers to exceptionally unusual abilities—rare abilities that cannot be classified as special attributes, such as space or time."

Toughness refers to how sturdy the Martial Soul itself is. A paper book and an iron sword obviously differ in toughness. Range refers to the area a Martial Soul can affect. A small knife, spear, and bow all have different ranges. Energy and Special are the same as for Beast Martial Souls: whether they have attribute damage or special abilities."
