Wine cellar.
The aged aroma of red wine fermenting in the barrels drifted through the cracks in the wood. Even that simple scent seemed enough to intoxicate people.
The entire wine cellar was packed, yet no one dared make a sound.
"Why?"
A smile curled across Jino's lips, but Clark's expression changed the instant he saw it.
As the man who understood Jino best aside from Lex, Clark knew that whenever Jino wore that insincere smile, someone was about to have a very bad day.
"Because..."
Jino spread his palm, and golden magic enveloped the dark-skinned wizard.
That gentle energy circled the wizard as Jino said warmly, "I'm the only one here who possesses magic."
As the words fell, the golden beam flowed into the man's body. The next second, his head lolled to one side, and he collapsed limply onto the cold cement floor like an empty shell that had lost its soul.
"He's dead!?"
Someone spoke in confusion.
"Relax, my friends."
Jino glanced at the terrified mages in the corner and smiled. "He's not dead. I merely used Heavenly Magic to send his soul to Heaven to enjoy himself."
At the boy's words, even more faces changed.
They truly could not sense the presence of a soul in that body. But for those who knew the truth about Heaven, having one's soul ascend there was hardly a good thing.
Souls that ascended to Heaven became trainee angels, fighting demons day and night.
Tilting his head with a smile, Jino said, "So, who else wants to go to Heaven and enjoy themselves?"
Hearing the boy's words, everyone looked at the harmless-looking youth with his innocent smile, and their expressions shifted.
This young man had a truly vicious soul!
