Paimon arrived in the Detective Conan world while teleporting alongside Yin Kong. Her memory is that she was traveling with the Traveler as usual before suddenly being displaced into this world. Like Yin Kong, she can perceive the monsters that ordinary people cannot see. 6

Because her conspicuous floating appearance could attract public attention and because monsters infest the city, Yin Kong initially keeps her inside their apartment for safety. Paimon refers to this arrangement as being “sealed,” though she is physically free to leave; the restriction leaves her afraid that Yin Kong may abandon her. 6 36

While confined, Paimon learns to use the internet and helps locate commissions for Cunning Rabbit House. She also secures Ono Yoko’s investment in the agency and suggests that Yoko move into the neighboring apartment. 7 22 23
