Background / History

Gin was one of the Black Organization’s most capable field operatives. His standing was earned through extensive killing, and his efficiency made him one of the few members who could occasionally receive orders directly from the BOSS, placing him in long-running tension with Rum. He was also secretly tasked with recovering scattered fragments of the Demonic Blade. 88 94 95

Before an attempted assassination of a police-transfer target, Vermouth warned Gin that he would face an unusually dangerous enemy. Rather than retreat, Gin became eager to test himself against this “god,” preparing the operation with Vodka, Chianti, and Korn. 71 78 Yin Kong interrupted the ambush, overwhelmed Gin even after the Demonic Blade fragment amplified him, and had him arrested alongside his team. Gin’s injuries left him wheelchair-bound and cost him his marksmanship. 79 80 88

Rum later had Gin extracted from the hospital under the guise of a Public Security transfer. At a pharmaceutical factory, Rum presented him with a pure-white scabbard on the BOSS’s orders; Gin failed to activate it and was ordered to be “retired” with Drug A. After taking the capsule, Gin regressed into a child of about ten. The scabbard shattered, opened an Abyssal Rift, and Gin entered it after hearing a call from within. 88 89 90

Within the Abyss, Gin encountered Tartaglia (Ajax), who trained him for roughly three months while only three days passed in the real world. Tartaglia entrusted him with a Hydro Genshin Eye that protected him from Abyssal corruption and enabled his return. Gin immediately defected from the Black Organization, confronted Rum, and killed him as the first step in his revenge. 128 130

Gin later learned the full extent of Karasuma Renya’s experimentation. He was the sole subject able to contain both Abyss and shadow power without becoming a monster, but could not initially use that power. Karasuma erased his memories and turned him into an “empty sheath” intended to cultivate the Demonic Blade. 154 156

After returning to Cunning Rabbit House, Gin’s accumulated Abyss power destabilized his mind and drove him to attack Yin Kong. Kuki Shinobu subdued him, and Yin Kong reduced his Abyss energy to a safe level. Freed from the worst of the madness, Gin chose to continue his revenge more strategically by targeting Karasuma’s loyal subordinates and laboratories rather than attacking Karasuma directly. 140 141 156

Appearance

Gin originally appeared as an adult man, but Drug A permanently reverted him to the body of a young child. He remains recognizable by his silver hair and severe demeanor. 89 139

Gin is cold, vigilant, and intensely combat-oriented. He sensed Vermouth’s supernatural surveillance through Vodka’s altered sunglasses despite having no understanding of demons or mirrors, demonstrating unusually sharp instincts. 78 He also reacted to Vermouth’s warning of a formidable opponent with excitement rather than caution. 71

His Black Organization career made him ruthless and pragmatic, but his execution order exposed a rare vulnerability. Facing death, Gin calmly accepted the Organization’s betrayal, reflected on an emptiness in himself, and disclosed information about the Organization and Miyano Shiho’s research to Miyano Akemi. 89

After Tartaglia’s training and the return of his suppressed memories, Gin became single-mindedly focused on revenge against Karasuma Renya.
