Arc 5Reincarnation and the Saint War

Houtu led the Ancestral Witches in completing Reincarnation, transforming them into Earthly Dao Saints and moving the Witch Race into the Underworld. When a confrontation with the Three Pure Ones erupted, Hongjun moved the Saints to Chaos, where the Witches’ array unexpectedly brought forth a new Heaven and Earth.

  • Fuxi persuaded Houtu and the Ancestral Witches to help the Human Race restore the Western Lands, and Houtu later revealed that she had glimpsed the path to Sainthood.
  • Houtu led the Ancestral Witches into the Netherworld and began sacrificing herself and their origins to establish Reincarnation, with Hongjun and Zhen Yuanzi supporting the undertaking.
  • The Twelve Ancestral Witches were reborn as Earthly Dao Saints, while Zhen Yuanzi attained Sainthood by giving the Book of the Earth to Reincarnation.

Arc 6Seeds of a Wider World

Houtu and the Ancestral Witches recognized Lu Jun’s role in their survival and repaid him with treasures that accelerated his Stellar Avatars. As Lu Jun organized a star-forging system, Ran Deng’s concealed origins surfaced, and Houtu proposed that he might be destined to become the Saint of Reincarnation.

  • Houtu persuaded the Ancestral Witches that Pangu’s legacy was creation and expansion, then the Witches resolved to repay Lu Jun for guiding them toward Reincarnation and the Earthly Dao.
  • Houtu, Nuwa, Zhen Yuanzi, and Tai Yi brought Lu Jun Innate Spiritual Treasures, which he placed in Star Eggs and which his system used to accelerate the stars and their primordial spirits.
  • Houtu concluded that Pangu had left treasures as seeds for expanding the Prehistoric World, while Nuwa began helping Lu Jun make more Star Cores and teach him artifact forging.
  • Lu Jun and the others devised a stellar assembly line for forging treasures, and Tai Yi brought Ran Deng to the starry sky to request his Human Lantern and Heaven and Earth Ruler.

Lu Jun’s expanding star domain drew the Three Pure Ones to learn from him, while his entry into the Severing Sect led him to warn them that opening a New Heaven near Buzhou Mountain could destroy the world. The Saints and Ancestral Witches joined forces to create Three Mountains Supporting the Heavens, beginning with a Heavenly Road to Kunlun.

  • Houtu appointed Ran Deng as the Netherworld’s Heavenly Venerate of Guidance, and Ran Deng gave Lu Jun the Heaven and Earth Ruler and Spirit Coffin Lamp for his artifact arrays.
  • Lu Jun used the Seven Innate Gourds to complete the Haotian Gourd and expand his star domain, prompting Hongjun and the Three Pure Ones to take notice of his method.
  • Tongtian taught Lu Jun the Myriad Immortals Array and accepted him into the Severing Sect, while Laozi taught him artifact forging.

  • Hongjun freed Nuwa from her Heavenly Dao position, and she became a Human Dao Saint as the Saints solidified the Heavenly Gate.
