Arc 17Buddhism’s Founding

After Jieyin sacrificed his Saintly strength, he and Zhunti lost the chance to follow the Three Pure Ones’ method and sought another route to Hunyuan. Guided by Lu Jun, they founded Buddhism through a Pure Land and Wish Power, then turned toward the Netherworld Blood Sea and invited Lu Jun to join them.

  • Jieyin gave up his merit and Primordial Violet Qi so Zhunti could retain Saintly power across the Western Lands, leaving Jieyin a Half-Saint.
  • Jieyin and Zhunti tried to reclaim their Spiritual Treasures from Lu Jun, who agreed to return them in exchange for artifacts they would forge.

Arc 18Minghe’s Path Beyond Sainthood

After You Wen joined Buddhism and the Three Pure Ones revealed their plans to transcend the limits of sainthood, Minghe sought Lu Jun’s advice about his own stalled path. Lu Jun and Tai Yi proposed that Minghe let his Blood God Sons pursue independent paths, leaving Minghe to confront whether transformation would destroy or elevate his sense of self.

  • Lu Jun declined Jieyin and Zhunti’s offer to become Buddhism’s Third Buddha, and You Wen accepted the title Great Sun Tathagata after Lu Jun explained its benefits and burdens.

At Lu Jun’s abode, Nuwa found inspiration in Ren Jing’s evolution and resolved to pursue creation in Chaos, leaving Zhen Yuanzi and Lu Jun stunned by her new direction.
