Background / History

Yun Ming led Shrek Academy as the master of the Sea God Pavilion and was recognized as Supporting Heaven Douluo. During the Star Luo incident, Cai Yue'er reported that Gu Yuena possessed Limit Douluo-level strength and that Chen Yan had briefly displayed Super Douluo-level power; Yun Ming was deeply disturbed by the implications and ordered Gu Yuena to be watched closely. 158

He attended Shrek's Sea God's Fate Matchmaking Conference with Ya Li. Their affectionate relationship drew teasing from Zhuo Shi and Feng Wuyu, whom Yun Ming threatened to take on a “trip” to the barren mountains. 159

When Qiangu Zhangting's corpse was discovered at Shrek, Yun Ming personally visited Spirit Pagoda to inform Qian Gu Dongfeng of his grandson's death. He sought to prevent an immediate war between the two powers, while recognizing that the incident had been arranged to pit them against each other. 188 189

Destruction of Shrek City

During the bombardment of Shrek City, Yun Ming remained at the Sea God Pavilion with Ya Li. Sensing the danger posed by two Level 12 Soul-Fixed Guided Missiles, he sealed Ya Li's cultivation and forced her into the pavilion for safety before confronting Ghost Emperor. 194

Equipped with his Four-Word Battle Armor and the Sky Piercing Divine Spear, Yun Ming resisted Ghost Emperor and eight accompanying Titled Douluo. The Golden Tree then empowered him to divine level, enabling him to destroy Ghost Emperor's enormous skull construct and create a frozen-space rune in an effort to preserve hope for Shrek's survivors. 194

Yun Ming fell unconscious after Shrek City was destroyed. Long Yeyue planned to send him to Devil Island, hoping its life energy could aid his recovery. 195

Return and the Abyss War

Years later, Yun Ming returned in white battle armor during Chen Xinjie's battle with the Demon Empress. He injured her with the Sky Piercing Divine Spear and declared that he would seek justice for Chen Xinjie and those she had harmed. 215

He relentlessly pressured the Demon Empress, exploiting her exhaustion and eventually shattering her Purple-Gold cocoon. The Abyssal Sage King intervened before Yun Ming could deliver a finishing blow, possessed the Demon Empress, and attempted to recruit Yun Ming into the Abyss; Yun Ming refused. 216 217

The Abyssal Sage King severely injured Yun Ming with a single attack, leaving him with a deep chest wound and damaged Four-Word Battle Armor. Despite this, Yun Ming remained determined to resist. 218
