Background / History

Gu Yuena first approaches Chen Yan in Mingdu after observing him from afar. She introduces herself directly, brings him to her residence, and has him live and cultivate under her care for three years. During that time, she provides extensive resources and repeatedly spars with him, while their initially guarded relationship becomes increasingly personal. 3 5 6 8

She leads Chen Yan to Dragon Valley, where she orders Di Tian to locate the Dragon Tomb. Within the valley, she shares the Dragon God’s Dragon Soul with Chen Yan rather than claiming its power alone. She transforms into a silver dragon to absorb most of the seven-colored energy, revealing her true Soul Beast identity to him. 19 22 23

Her responsibilities toward the Soul Beast Race remain central to her decisions.
