In simple terms, mysteries that appear miraculous to ordinary people are what mages can perform.
But magic is what can perform miracles even in the eyes of mages.
Each type of magic covers a broad scope.
The Six Great Magics currently exist.
The First Magic is unknown; its user is dead, cause unknown.
The Second Magic involves parallel worlds, largely covering space, time, and causality...
The Third Magic, Soul Materialization, mainly deals with souls and reality...
The Fourth Magic is uncertain.
The Fifth Magic, the one researched by the Aozaki Family, mainly involves causality, time, order, chaos...
The Sixth Magic? Unknown.
But one thing is certain: all magic is detrimental to the world. Each one drains the universe's life to achieve its own miracle.
Let me emphasize one more point!
More Magic Circuits are not always better! The Princess has only one, yet it connects directly to the Root, and she could probably pin down Gilgamesh! (I'll whisper this: Aika is the best!)
Also, Those who wield magic are Magicians.
Those who wield magecraft are Magi.
Whether in the Age of Gods or the modern era, those who cannot use magic are Magi.
Let me, let me, let me emphasize again!
Magicians play with miracles. In other words, their combat strength isn't necessarily overwhelming, but it's always superior to magecraft.
For example?
A Magician might lose to Gilgamesh in a direct duel, but if it's not a direct confrontation, they could toy with Gilgamesh to death, even if he has Clairvoyance (his Clairvoyance can see through the future).
Let me put out some useful info. (Anyone here who hasn't watched Fate?)
Kiritsugu Emiya:
Magic Attribute: Earth, Fire
Magic System: Thrust of Time (though only twenty percent of the Magic Crest): can briefly accelerate time by one to three times.
Severance and Recombination: His own Origin, representing cutting and recombination, specifically manifested as the Origin Bullet! The kind that can injure even Heroic Spirits. The downside is it requires using his own bones to make.
Nothing else notable.
Irisviel:
Magic Attribute: Suspected to possess all basic attributes.
Magic System: Alchemy Magic (Nothing much to say; it's trash compared to Kiritsugu's two systems.)
Touko Aozaki:
Magic Attribute: Wind
Magic System: Modern Rune (Trash compared to the Rune of the Gods, but impressive by modern standards.)
Grand Puppeteer (Can freely discard her original body. The strongest modern puppeteer, achieving this status roughly between the ages of eighteen and twenty.)
Noble Color: Projection type. Ability is charm, binding the target within her field of vision, sealing their movement. (The most useless Mystic Eye, though that's said jokingly; if not for Touko's own modifications, it really would be useless.)
Tokiomi Tohsaka:
Magic Attribute: Fire
Magic System: Jewel Magic (As the name suggests, very expensive, but he's rich, at least for now.)
Kaineth:
Magic Attribute: Wind, Water
Magic System: Spirit Evocation, Summoning, Alchemy Magic, and Water Manipulation. He's proficient in many other things as well.
Nothing overwhelmingly impressive, so I won't explain.
As for the others, hmm, nothing worth mentioning. They're all weak.
Sakura Matou:
Magic Attribute: Originally Imaginary Numbers, later altered to Water by Old Worm.
Now, after treatment, she has both attributes.
Magic System: None.
Chapter 30: Guilt Cliff
"Goodbye, Sister Aozaki!" The already transformed Fu Yuan cheerfully waved toward the departing Touko, genuinely delighted.
Watching Touko suddenly stumble as she walked away, Fu Yuan felt even happier.
Then he silently added some new entries to his Noble Phantasm [Fu Yuan's Diary].
Saving Touko Aozaki's Quirks (?)
"Tap tap, tap tap, tap tap tap...!" Fu Yuan bounced along ahead, clearly in high spirits now that he had returned to his normal form, all the gloom of the past few days finally vented in one go.
Irisviel watched A Yuan, who was carrying his former body and hopping around, opened her mouth, hesitated, then said nothing.
Fu Yuan, whose Emotion Perception had returned, turned around in confusion and looked at Irisviel curiously. If it was about the body, he didn't think it should be that big a deal!
"Is something wrong, Irisviel?"
Irisviel opened her mouth again, then finally asked with some concern, "A Yuan, have you changed back now?"
Fu Yuan looked puzzled at the question. He thought the difference between his two forms was pretty obvious, so why would Irisviel ask that?
"I've changed back. What's wrong, Irisviel?"
Hearing that, Irisviel seemed a little relieved. After thinking about A Yuan's current behavior, it really did seem like he had changed back.
Then she looked at the chain still trailing behind him, swaying back and forth, quite eye-catching.
"Then what's that behind you?"
"Behind me?" Fu Yuan spun around sharply at the words, warily scanning the area behind him.
"? There's nothing there, Irisviel!" Fu Yuan turned back, looking at Irisviel in bewilderment.
"...Turn your head and look." Irisviel's expression was priceless now, utterly stunned by the whole scene. She calmed herself down and pointed at the chain still swaying behind him.
Fu Yuan turned his head in confusion, only to see a gleaming golden chain behind him. When he looked at it, the chain obediently waved in greeting.
Then it handed him a bottle of iced cola.
"?" Fu Yuan focused his senses and confirmed it was his own—and seemed to be the same one that had stolen the cola before.
"Has my Spirit Core completely broken down?" Fu Yuan assessed the abilities he could currently use and fell into deep confusion.
This Spirit Core was truly useless!
"Um, A Yuan, are you okay now?" Irisviel grew worried as she watched Fu Yuan's expression shift through a complicated range.
"Uh... I think so?" Fu Yuan looked up at the question, speaking uncertainly. He couldn't really blame the Spirit Core for being useless—after all, it had endured suffering it should never have had to bear at his age.
Then, thinking it over, he simply waved his hand and retracted the chain. Having it swaying around outside was just too strange.
"So, should we go home now?" Irisviel's tone was hesitant. The events of today had been, well, quite thrilling.
It had completely thrown Irisviel off.
"Mm... Oh, right, Irisviel, where did you park the car?" Fu Yuan nodded obediently, then seemed to remember something and asked with some concern.
"The car! My car!" Irisviel repeated the words a few times, then a look of panic spread across her face as she ran off into the distance.
"Hope it wasn't caught in the blast..." Fu Yuan muttered uncertainly. If the car was wrecked, he'd have to carry Irisviel all the way back.
What a hassle!
The Mercedes-Benz 300SL sped along an untouched highway, the woman in the driver's seat wearing an expression of having narrowly escaped disaster.
Fu Yuan sat in the passenger seat, drowsy, covering a yawn with his hand as he spoke tiredly to Irisviel.
"Irisviel, I'll sleep for a bit. Wake me when we get there."
"Okay." Irisviel agreed immediately, then glanced at Fu Yuan, who had already fallen asleep, her gaze softening.
A Yuan might be unreliable a lot of the time, but he had done their family a great kindness.
Tai Xu's back mountain, Guilt Cliff.
Fu Yuan had only meant to doze off for a bit, but the moment he closed his eyes, he was here.
Feeling the familiar atmosphere, he sighed a little, then sat down in the open space before Guilt Cliff with practiced ease.
He sat there cross-legged, eyes closed, as if sleeping?
Soon, a second person appeared on Guilt Cliff. She wore a sharp, spirited outfit, carried the Twin Swords of Yin-Yang (Peerless) on her back, and had vermilion hair and a jade-like face of stunning beauty.
Well, Fu Yuan's Noble Phantasm was also present, so this Spirit Core really was useless!
Fu Yuan opened his eyes the moment Su Mei appeared, looking at his Senior Sister without speaking, just watching.
Unlike him, his Senior Sister had not been able to achieve immortality in life.
But time seemed to have frozen in her world. Her hair was a brilliant, vivid red, her beautiful face smooth as congealed fat, delicate and supple. Her eyes were large and captivating, her lips a striking red.
Time had not taken a single thing from her appearance; she remained in the most beautiful period of her life.
"Why isn't my Junior Disciple Brother happy? Shouldn't you be glad to see your Senior Sister?" Su Mei didn't mind his gaze. She flickered and appeared right in front of Fu Yuan, teasing him.
"Senior Sister, I can't control this yet." Fu Yuan steadied his mind and spoke helplessly.
Here, there were no secrets between them.
"It really won't work? Or is it just your subconscious telling you it won't?" Su Mei paid no heed to his words. She pressed herself directly against him, cupped Fu Yuan's small face, and leaned in.
Her tender, red lips grew larger and larger in Fu Yuan's eyes, yet in the end, they never touched down.
Fu Yuan's saliva slid down his throat. His small, delicate Adam's apple rose and fell visibly, and his breathing grew heavier.
He let out two bitter chuckles.
Just as Senior Sister had said, they were originally the same person—what was there to be willing or unwilling about? It was merely his own subconscious telling him it wasn't right.
"Senior Sister~" Fu Yuan, now fully transformed, was clearly a bit taller than Su Mei. His golden pupils were noticeably hazy, his expression tinged with madness and obsession.
Without any preamble, he wrapped one arm around Senior Sister's waist and pressed the other hand against the back of her head, then kissed her directly on those alluring red lips.
His slightly cold tongue slipped into her mouth, greedily seizing her breath, forcefully exploring every corner.
Glistening teardrops rolled in his eyes. Then, large and round, sparkling one by one, they slid down his cheek and onto Su Mei's face.
Su Mei showed no panic at all. She responded completely naturally, until a chill touched her face.
Feeling the tear tracks on her skin, Su Mei suddenly felt a pang of pain. Yet she had no way to argue or explain. She could only gently stroke Fu Yuan's head and back.
On Taixu Mountain's Guilt Cliff, there was another very famous name in the Honkai World.
The birthplace of the First Honkai, and also the birthplace of the Herrscher of Binding.
Likewise, in all of humanity's history of fighting the Honkai, it was the only Honkai that never involved ordinary people.
After a long moment, their lips parted. Su Mei looked at Fu Yuan, whose face was now covered in tears. The words she had prepared caught in her throat, and she could only repeat herself helplessly, over and over.
"I'm sorry... I'm sorry..."
"It's okay... I forgave Senior Sister for this a long time ago." Fu Yuan, on the other hand, didn't seem too affected. He looked at the helpless Senior Sister in his arms and spoke to comfort her.
Su Mei said nothing more. She simply nestled against Fu Yuan's chest, sobbing without pause.
That had been her mistake, after all. But it was only this one thing. She had never regretted killing her master.
