Background / History

Early life and Floating Cloud Temple

Fu Hua killed Su Mei’s demon-possessed parents and took in the already precocious child as a disciple. She became the second disciple of Floating Cloud Temple, alongside Lin Chao Yu, Jiang Wan Xi, Jiang Wan Ru, Cheng Ling Shuang, Ma Yan Qing, and Qin Su Yi. 45 117

When seven-year-old Fu Yuan sought shelter from a thunderstorm, Su Mei initially resisted but ultimately brought the terrified child into her bed and comforted him through the night. She later agreed to let him stay with her whenever thunderstorms frightened him. 6 110

Su Mei became intensely protective of Fu Yuan. At age twelve, she abandoned a monster-clearing assignment to find him after learning that thunder was heard in his assigned area; she killed the thunder-using monster and carried the injured Fu Yuan away. 111

Rise of the Peerless Lady

Su Mei established herself as a formidable swordswoman and earned a fearsome reputation. People in the martial world called her the Peerless Lady and feared her as a “Living Yama,” believing that her killings went beyond ordinary executions. 15 112

At age fifteen, she single-handedly destroyed the Demon Sect at its height. She then travelled to the Southern Border with Fu Yuan and founded the Wu Shuang Sect; within a year, she had earned the title of Peerless Lady. 107

As Wu Shuang Sect’s Sect Master, Su Mei ruled absolutely. Her subordinates immediately fell silent when she spoke, recognizing that her apparent lenience around Fu Yuan did not extend to anyone else. 21 112

Manipulation and regicide

Su Mei concealed a violent past from Fu Yuan, including the deaths of hundreds of innocents. She arranged for assassins to target him after leaking his route, using the incident to force him to confront whether he would uphold his principle of protecting all living beings or protect her instead. 21 113

Fu Yuan chose Su Mei, shattering his Dao Heart. When Su Mei later suffered Honkai corruption, he cleansed the Honkai energy from her body and forgave her despite her damaged meridians and past manipulation. 114

Driven by resentment over her parents’ deaths, Su Mei initiated the disciples’ plot to assassinate Fu Hua. During the ambush, she stabbed Fu Yuan through the heart, apologizing that it was “for the revenge of my mother.” 45 115

After the plan failed, Su Mei killed Jiang Wan Ru when her junior sister demanded Fu Yuan’s death. She took the dying Fu Yuan from the mountain and used her own body and Herrscher Core to generate Honkai energy that his Stigmata could absorb, keeping him alive while she pursued a method of resurrection. 117

Longevity and Stigmata research

At age thirty, Su Mei asked Fu Yuan for a Longevity Method. He offered her the Third Magic and the Fusion Warrior Potion, and she chose both despite the risks. 107

After disappearing from public view, Su Mei researched artificial Stigmata as part of a plan to resurrect Fu Yuan. She prepared a massive Honkai Crystal containing his sleeping body as the vessel for that effort. 118

Personality

Away from Fu Yuan, she is cold, calculating, and openly contemptuous of people she considers useless. She can conceal displeasure behind a smile, manipulate others into difficult choices, and treat violence as a practical solution. 21 113 117

Her attachment to Fu Yuan is deeply possessive. Although she planned around him and was willing to wound him for her revenge, she later devoted herself to preserving and resurrecting him. 115 117 118
