Du Cheng bonded with Xiao Wu, defeated Tang San, and brought Zhu Zhuqing into their circle. After confronting Tang Hao with help from a summoned master, Du Cheng fused a powerful soul bone and returned to the dormitory with Xiao Wu and Zhu Zhuqing close beside him.

• Du Cheng met Xiao Wu at Notting Academy, bonded with her through the Goddess Bond System, and used its lotteries to gain the Azure Dragon spirit, coins, and Eighteen Subduing Strikes.
• Du Cheng defeated Tang San’s challenge, became Seventh Dormitory’s head, and grew closer to Xiao Wu as the system rewarded their bond.
• Tang San accused Du Cheng of behaving improperly toward Xiao Wu, but Du Cheng disproved the claim and secured Moonlit Night from Master as compensation.

After Qing Xuan secretly demonstrated her power and warned Tang Hao, Du Cheng settled into academy life with the girls and Ning Rongrong growing closer to him.

• Du Cheng defeated Xiao Chenyu, gained a Thousand-Year Soul Ring, and agreed to travel with Tang San, Xiao Wu, and Zhu Zhuqing to Suotuo City.
• At the Rose Hotel, Du Cheng defeated Dai Mubai after Dai Mubai tried to claim the room and take Xiao Wu and Zhu Zhuqing for himself.
• Du Cheng and his companions enrolled at Shrek Academy, where his Level 33 Soul Elder rank and unusual Soul Rings stunned Li Yusong.
• Dai Mubai accused Zhu Zhuqing of betraying him, but she rejected him, and Du Cheng refused to make her the stake in a duel.

At the Great Soul Arena, his team won its matches, then Dai Mubai attacked Ning Rongrong, Xiao Wu, and Zhu Zhuqing, leaving Du Cheng demanding a severe punishment.

• Du Cheng stopped Ma Hongjun from assaulting Cui Hua, forced him to apologize, and later challenged Yu Xiaogang when he demanded control of the One Inch Residence.
• Flender warned Yu Xiaogang not to target Du Cheng and suggested using Ning Rongrong as an example, while Du Cheng continued teaching her and received a notice that an Advanced Lottery would unlock at Bond Value 50.
• Yu Xiaogang’s harsh training drove Ning Rongrong away from the academy, and Du Cheng found her in Suotuo City and rescued her from Huang Ergou.

Du Cheng accompanied the Shrek group into the Star Dou Great Forest, where Xiao Wu reunited with Da Ming and Er Ming, Meng Yiran’s Martial Soul evolved, and Du Cheng saved Tang San from an unsuitable Soul Beast. Back in Suotuo City, Dai Mubai was kidnapped, and Tang San led a rescue party to confront his captors.

• Du Cheng and the Shrek group headed for the Star Dou Great Forest, where Tang San’s classmates clashed with Canghui Academy and Zhao Wuji forced them to apologize.
• The group encountered Meng Yiran and her grandparents while pursuing a Wind Tail Crested Serpent, then the Titan Giant Ape carried Xiao Wu, Du Cheng, and Meng Yiran away.
• Da Ming and Er Ming welcomed Du Cheng after he vowed to protect Xiao Wu, while the Lake of Life helped Meng Yiran survive her soul-ring backlash and evolve her Serpent Staff Martial Soul.
• Du Cheng returned with Xiao Wu and Meng Yiran, then joined Zhao Wuji and Qing Xuan in searching for Tang San, who was fighting a Man Faced Demon Spider.
• Du Cheng killed the spider before Tang San could claim its Soul Ring, and Tang San later obtained a safer one while Du Cheng took charge of the spider’s External Soul Bone.
• Du Cheng grew closer to Xiao Wu, gave Meng Yiran an External Soul Bone and Ning Rongrong a Fire Returning Fan, and returned with the group to Suotuo City.
• After Dai Mubai was captured over a dispute involving a woman, Du Cheng initially refused to help, but followed Tang San and the others to the captors’ courtyard.
