Prophecy of the Apocalypse

The Great Toad Sage silently watched them, and everyone's hearts sank at once.

"Jiraiya, go to Konoha. The disaster begins in Konoha. Remember, no matter what you see, do not make a move. Leave that place."

The Great Toad Sage looked at Jiraiya and spoke slowly. Then he closed his eyes.

Not long afterward, Jiraiya left Mount Myōboku.

"Damn it, what exactly happened? Why would Konoha become the starting point of a disaster? No, I have to get back to Konoha immediately!"

Somewhere in the Ninja World, Jiraiya appeared. Recalling the Great Toad Sage's prophecy, he instantly became a blur and raced toward Konoha, frantic with worry.

"What exactly happened? The world is actually going to be destroyed... How could something like this..."

Ninjas were incredibly fast. Before long, Jiraiya, who had been in the Land of Fields, left the country and entered the Land of Fire. As he neared Konoha, he encountered the Konoha people fleeing from the disaster.

"Lord Jiraiya, you've finally returned!"

"What happened? Why are you all here? Where is the teacher?"

Jiraiya frowned as he looked at the ninjas before him.

The ninjas exchanged looks. Then Nara Shikaku stepped forward.

"Jiraiya, Lord Hokage... is dead."

Nara Shikaku spoke with a grief-stricken expression.

"What!!!!"

Jiraiya was utterly stunned. Dead? How was that possible?

Nara Shikaku quickly told Jiraiya everything that had happened in Konoha not long ago. After hearing it all, Jiraiya fell silent.

The matter was actually quite simple. Shimura Danzō, the so-called Darkness of Konoha, had wanted to make a move against the Uchiha Clan. He had succeeded, but he had also failed, giving birth to a monster. If that had been all, it would not have mattered much. The Uchiha Clan had already been exterminated, and the matter was settled. They merely had to kill the out-of-control Uchiha orphan, and everything would have been over.

It should have been simple, but that monster was simply too powerful—so powerful that even all of Konoha combined was no match for him. That turned the situation into a disaster. Now, countless Konoha ninjas had died, and even the Hokage had fallen.

"Uchiha Yue... Damn it, that bastard Danzo! Why did he have to target the Uchiha Clan?! He turned Konoha into this!"

After hearing Nara Shikaku's explanation, Jiraiya gritted his teeth in fury, filled with incomparable resentment toward Shimura Danzō. Unfortunately, Danzo was already dead. In the end, Konoha had become like this because of that idiot Shimura Danzō.

They did not know that Uchiha Itachi had actually been the one to act. Before they had encountered him, Uchiha Itachi had already died, and the Root members had long since been slaughtered by Uchiha Yue.

"Could this be the World-Ending Calamity the Great Toad Sage spoke of? He's just a madman from the Uchiha Clan. How could he possibly destroy the world?"

Jiraiya frowned, utterly perplexed. He could not understand it. No matter how strong a person was, how could he become a calamity?

"No, I need to see what is going on. Since he is a member of Konoha, perhaps he possesses the Will of Fire. Maybe this is only something he did in his rage. Perhaps I can persuade him to atone for his sins."

Jiraiya spoke, then immediately prepared to head for Konoha to see the person called Uchiha Yue. As for why they knew Uchiha Yue's name, someone had naturally seen his appearance and identified him afterward. Unfortunately, knowing his name was of little use.

If possible, Jiraiya would try to kill the man who had destroyed Konoha and make him atone for what he had done. As a member of Konoha, who had given him the right? Who had given him the nerve to attack Konoha's comrades? Was he still a Konoha ninja?

"No, you can't get close to him. You can't even speak to that monster! What we need now is a new Hokage, Jiraiya. Don't act rashly!"

Nara Shikaku grabbed Jiraiya's arm and stopped him.

"We can discuss the Hokage matter later. How will we know unless we try?"

Jiraiya shook his head. He had to go and see what was happening.

Seeing that persuasion was useless, Nara Shikaku shook his head and had several ninjas lead Jiraiya to the current Konoha. They believed that once Jiraiya witnessed that horrifying sight, he would retreat. That power was simply not something human strength could contend with. The Uchiha Clan had birthed a true monster.

Not long afterward...

"This... this... is..."

Jiraiya and the Konoha ninjas stood atop a mountain range, staring in shock at the sharply divided world before them. In front of them lay brilliant sunshine, but in the distance was a dark, gloomy, terrifying domain that felt oppressive and deathly silent just to behold.

"That monster has grown even stronger. This place now extends beyond Konoha."

A ninja beside Jiraiya took a step back, staring at the Dead Silence Domain in horror. They could no longer see the vague shadow standing high in the sky.

"Yes. When we left, this domain had not even covered Konoha. Could that monster be moving?"

One ninja guessed.

Beside them, Jiraiya listened to their conversation, drew a deep breath, and rushed forward. In the blink of an eye, he reached the edge of the domain. Whether he meant to persuade Uchiha Yue or kill him, he first had to see him.

He already knew that within this special domain, the power in one's body would be continuously drained away.

But who was he? He was Jiraiya, one of Konoha's Legendary Sannin, not some insignificant nobody. Even if this thing could absorb Chakra, he should be able to resist it for a while, at least until he saw Uchiha Yue.

With that thought, Jiraiya stepped directly into the domain. Yet in the next instant, his expression changed sharply. He discovered that the Chakra within his body was beginning to flow out of him uncontrollably. No matter how hard he tried to control it, he could not stop it.

"Not good!"

Jiraiya immediately leaped back out, and several Konoha ninjas promptly caught him.

"Lord Jiraiya, are you all right?"

"I'm fine. I didn't expect that bastard's power to be so strange."

Jiraiya shook his head and warily looked back at the domain that was constantly expanding. He had not expected that Chakra-devouring ability to be so terrifying. He had not been able to resist it at all. At the edge, it was manageable, but if he ventured deeper, he might die.
