KIKI's gaze turned cold. "Are you testing my abilities?"

Seeing his silence, KIKI's expression suddenly relaxed, the fear in her eyes replaced by a hint of cunning. She looked at Lin Xian with interest. Although her eyes were teary, she chuckled. "If you wanted to kill me, you would have done it from the start. You're actually testing me, aren't you?"

The young girl seemed to have realized something and suddenly became energetic. She walked directly in front of Lin Xian, her small face tilted up, looking at him proudly and defiantly.

"You know I have abilities, right?"

"Do you have abilities?" Lin Xian asked with a smile.

"Of course," KIKI said very seriously. "You know I survived a helicopter crash and found your shelter unharmed in the dark. So my abilities must be very powerful, possibly even capable of resisting the big monsters and bugs at night. So, even though you want to kill me, you're actually curious and wary of me, and you're deliberately driving me off the train to test me, right!?"

Lin Xian calmly sized up the girl before him, who looked no older than sixteen. Though his expression remained unreadable, his mind was racing.

She was right, after all.

If it were anyone else, he would have already killed them with a single blow.

That night, when the girl had pleaded for his help, Lin Xian had been unmoved.

With that, his face turned cold, and he suddenly lunged at Kiki with the knife, intending to end her life.

Seeing Lin Xian charging at her with murderous intent, Kiki's face turned pale, her pupils constricting. With nowhere to retreat, just as Lin Xian's blade was about to strike, she suddenly closed her eyes and raised her hands to shield her face, crying out in terror:

Silence fell around them. Kiki felt as if her breath had caught in her throat. She cautiously opened her eyes, only to see the cold blade hovering inches from her face.

Lin Xian's expression was icy. He had held nothing back, even secretly gathering his Wind Gun, yet the girl hadn't used her powers to retaliate as she faced death. This filled him with doubt.

He suppressed his murderous intent and stopped his attack.
