A few days later, a light rain began to fall again. Everyone worried that the game might be postponed because of it; after all, summer rains could linger. Still, this sudden rain did bring the temperature down quite a bit, and Inashiro's second-round opponent had also been decided.
It was To Akitsudai, the school attended by Harada's childhood Little League friend, Yamato Shuichiro.
The rain lowered the temperature, but it could not dampen the boys' blazing passion. Inashiro's Indoor Practice Room was packed full. With nowhere to practice, Su Qing volunteered to scout for information, only to be turned down.
"Idiot, we're practicing indoors because it's raining. Do you think they aren't? What the hell kind of intel can you scout?"
The reasoning was too solid for Su Qing to refute, so he could only lie dead in the dormitory. Fortunately, the rain seemed to be nothing more than a joke from the heavens, and the weather afterward was excellent.
Su Qing did not volunteer to scout again afterward. It was simply too hot, and he preferred the unknown anyway. The chances of an upset were not high, so he might as well make things a little more difficult for himself.
Harada also skipped the scouting team. He still found it somewhat difficult to face his old friend, especially as a scout. To Akitsudai, however, sent out a four-man squad to gather intelligence on Inashiro. They were far more proactive than To Koyasu Nishi, and much more confident as well.
Perhaps that was the confidence of top students. These boys all had average deviation scores above 65; the pride in their hearts was naturally unmatched.
But in baseball, being smart did not mean you could win. There was a kind of domination known as overwhelming superiority in strength!
