After leaving the police station, Wei Zitong did not go far. His car was broken, and he did not want to take a taxi, so he could only wait for Jace and the others to come out and catch a ride with them.

Before the others came out, Liu Chuang's loud shouting came from inside. "I'm telling you, little cop, policewoman, sexy policewoman—if you really dare lock me up in detention... I'm telling you, just wait until I get out, you hear me? Hey, you..."

"Where are you looking?" Qilin's embarrassed, angry rebuke rang out at the same time.

Jace was the first to walk out the doors. He looked helplessly up at the sky, while Du Qiangwei followed close behind, saying as she walked, "That loudmouthed guy in there was Liu Chuang, right? Let him sit in there for a few days. It'll do him good to reflect!"

"Yeah. We'd had our eyes on him for a long time, but in the end, he got into it with Ge Xiaolun." Jace spoke helplessly, then turned to look at Wei Zitong, who was leaning against his car door. "But things always have an unexpected side."

Wei Zitong spread his hands indifferently, making it clear that he was definitely catching this ride.

Jace did not pay much attention to Wei Zitong's attitude. Instead, he turned toward Ge Xiaolun, who had been staring at Du Qiangwei's back the entire time, and said, "Hey, you. You stood up for justice, and the surveillance footage saw everything. We're letting you out first. Go home and get some rest. Maybe in a few days, we'll see each other again."

Ge Xiaolun looked extremely awkward. He merely kept murmuring vague acknowledgments, but his eyes could not leave Du Qiangwei.

Du Qiangwei frowned, feeling somewhat disgusted. She walked straight to the other side of the car, opened the front passenger door, and got in.

Wei Zitong curled his lip and opened the door as well, sitting in the back seat. Ge Xiaolun, who watched this from the side, stared wide-eyed. He wanted badly to get into that car too, but could not bring himself to say it. Only after Jace started the car did he force out a question. "Hey, what do you people do?"

"We specialize in dealing with people like you," Jace answered.

"P-people like us? Some kind of crackpot bureau?" Ge Xiaolun asked suspiciously.

Jace ignored the mockery in Ge Xiaolun's words. He merely snorted and said, "Remember to wait for news," before stepping on the gas.

Watching Wei Zitong lean against the front passenger seatback and chat with Du Qiangwei in the car as it drove farther away, Ge Xiaolun's eyes turned red with anger. He wanted to roar "Silence!" and force the car to stop, but he was afraid an accident might hurt Du Qiangwei. Keeping it all bottled up nearly made him cough up blood!

In truth, Wei Zitong was merely leaning against the front passenger seatback. He had not said a single word to Du Qiangwei. He simply wanted to stir Ge Xiaolun's anger and awaken the small amount of fighting spirit buried deep inside him.

He knew that Ge Xiaolun had fallen hopelessly for Du Qiangwei from the moment he first saw her. Only Du Qiangwei could bring out the courage hidden in that timid young man's heart.

"Have you had enough fun? If you have, stay away from me!" Du Qiangwei said coldly, her face filled with disgust.

Wei Zitong shrugged and leaned back, settling comfortably into the spacious back seat. "How much do you hate that guy? You can even tolerate someone like me?"

"You two are both the same. One's a loser, the other's a spoiled brat. You're equally worthless!" Du Qiangwei said coldly.

"Hehehehe!" Wei Zitong only gave an odd laugh, not taking the bait. Instead, he asked Jace, "A Jie, what's the plan?"

"You know it already," Jace answered. "Originally, your sister planned to send you to the regular class at the Super Seminary. But now, getting into the Super God Class won't be a problem."

"Oh!" Wei Zitong was not surprised by the result. "Take me to the train station first. I have a board meeting at the Tianhe City headquarters today."

"What difference does it make whether a director like you attends a meeting or not?" Du Qiangwei said with undisguised sarcasm.

"Heh." Wei Zitong was not angered by her words. He knew that the original owner of this body had left countless people with the image of an ignorant, spoiled young master. It was only natural for someone like Du Qiangwei to dislike him.

Whether Wei Zitong attended previous board meetings had never mattered. The reason he was in such a hurry to return for this one was something else—if he had guessed correctly, Angel Yan would descend at this board meeting!

Today, Angel International's directors were all astonished, because Wei Zitong, the spoiled young master who always skipped board meetings, had miraculously attended this one!

Even Wei Zitong's sister, Wei Zixue, the chairwoman of Angel International's board of directors, came over to ask him about it. In order to maintain Wei Zitong's spoiled-young-master persona and keep his transmigration from seeming too abrupt, Wei Zitong treated Wei Zixue with his usual indifference.

Wei Zitong lounged lazily in his chair, drowsing away. He paid no attention to the impassioned speeches from Wei Zixue and the other responsible directors until Wei Zixue said, "We have to acquire it this round." His eyes snapped open!

He did not need to guess. His sharp hearing had already caught the tremendous rumbling sound coming from outside the window. His body went limp as he slid directly beneath the conference table. He knew Yan's entrance would be extremely violent—she would smash through the reinforced glass and crash in. It would not be pretty if shattered glass cut him.

Before the directors seated on either side could react in surprise, a deafening explosion rang through the Conference Hall. Chaos erupted inside as dust filled the air, accompanied by screams and coughing.

Wei Zitong stood up and waited for the dust to clear. An uncontrollable excitement rose within him, because he was about to see with his own eyes that peerless face which had haunted his dreams through countless days and nights!

Wei Zixue cautiously walked step by step toward the center of the settling dust. When she finally saw the Angel reclining in a chair, her heart jolted in shock. She immediately turned and called to everyone, "All right, all right, today's meeting ends here. Everyone, go back first. Go back..."

The directors hurriedly left. Only Wei Zitong remained standing there blankly, staring without blinking as though utterly entranced.

Seeing that her younger brother was not leaving, Wei Zixue hurriedly pulled him down to one knee and said respectfully, "This is my first time seeing a real... Angel..."

The Angel wore a calm expression. Without turning her head, she spoke in an ethereal, profound voice that seemed to come from all directions. "I remember that two thousand years ago, your ancestors said they would let the Angel faith guide Earth."

"With the Super Seminary..." Wei Zixue no longer possessed her usual commanding presence. She lowered her head and answered hesitantly, "We changed... our methods..."

"With what?" the Angel asked. "Money?"

This time, Wei Zixue raised her head and answered, "Investment!"

"Hmph. Investment. How capable." The Angel snorted. "Disaster is upon you, Earth!" As she spoke, she lightly flapped her pair of flawless white wings, turning the chair toward the balcony. Then she stood and slowly walked toward it.

Wei Zixue stood as well and asked anxiously, "What happened?"

"Evil has risen. Darkness is about to descend. Justice..." The Angel sighed before continuing, "You are, after all, only an Earthling, not an Angel... The Styx Galaxy is coming to invade you."

A milky-white glow covered her eyes as she said in surprise, "Oh? Earth has already entered the pre-nuclear age?"

Shocked by the information the Angel had brought, Wei Zixue asked, "Who are you?"

The milky-white glow faded from the Angel's eyes. She turned around and spoke calmly. "Angel..."

"Yan!"

Wei Zixue and the Angel both turned at once, looking toward Wei Zitong, who had stood silently in the back all this time. He was the one who had spoken that name: "Yan."
