Natsuki Subaru realized he had moved too dramatically and sat back down in his chair.
"Well... here's the thing!" Natsuki Subaru had just reached into the plastic bag for the cup noodles when he found the floor completely empty.
"Wait a moment." Natsuki Subaru stood up again and dashed out of the guest room with a whoosh. Before long, he came jogging back with the white plastic bag in hand.
"Tokisaki, this is what I mean." Natsuki Subaru first took out the cup noodles and placed them on the table. "I'll lend you five Saint Gold Coins, and you'll use those five Saint Gold Coins to buy these cup noodles from me."
"After you buy the cup noodles, I'll return the five Saint Gold Coins to you. Of course, the cup noodles will be yours by then, too."
Kurumi raised her head and looked at Natsuki Subaru as if he were a mentally challenged child. "Did being transported to another world hit you so hard that your brain short-circuited?"
"No, no, no!" Natsuki Subaru braced both hands against the wooden table and leaned forward, his gaze fixed firmly on Kurumi. "This is really important to me. Please, Kurumi, just agree to this one selfish request of mine!"
"Oh? Where I'm from in Yingzhou, calling a lady by her given name is apparently very rude."
"My deepest apologies!" Natsuki Subaru bowed deeply.
"All right, all right. If I lend you five Saint Gold Coins, when will you pay me back? And what do I get out of it?"

"Hehe~" Kurumi covered her mouth as she laughed. Her wine-red eyes curved with her smile like aged red wine, leaving Natsuki Subaru intoxicated.
