Background / History
As Pope of Spirit Hall, BiBi Dong takes interest in Mo Bai after learning that he possesses Innate Full Soul Power and has enrolled at Spirit Hall Academy. Initially believing that his Blue Silver Grass and talent indicate Twin Spirits, she summons him to investigate personally 48.
She accepts Mo Bai as her disciple because of his potential. Although surprised to learn that he has only one martial soul, she honors the decision and begins directly assessing his abilities, knowledge, and cultivation path 49 50. She later supports his unusual goal of evolving his Blue Silver Grass rather than relying solely on conventional soul-ring skills 52.
BiBi Dong's past with Yu Xiao Gang remains a source of resentment. When he approaches her for help concerning Tang San's Twin Spirits backlash, she briefly hopes he has come to reconcile before becoming cold and guarded again 102. She later reveals that she loved Yu Xiao Gang, that Qian Xun Ji forced himself on her and caused Qian Renxue's birth, and that she killed Qian Xun Ji 168.
While pursuing the Rakshasa God's inheritance, BiBi Dong is required by the Eighth Trial to inflict her own past nightmare upon Mo Bai. The trial and her feelings lead her to repeatedly distance herself from him, send him to Slaughter City, and oppose his relationship with Qian Renxue 130 163 168. After completing the trial, she attempts to restore a strictly teacher-disciple relationship with Mo Bai and prioritizes power above her past attachments 170 221.
BiBi Dong later becomes pregnant with Mo Bai's child. Though she initially considers ending the pregnancy, she ultimately keeps the child; their daughter, Xi Xi, is born by Chapter 195 172 195.

She can be stern and manipulative when pursuing power, particularly during her Rakshasa God trial. Her emotions toward Yu Xiao Gang, Qian Renxue, and Mo Bai frequently conflict with her political goals and personal ambition 130 163 168.
As ruler of the Spirit Empire, she shows concern for administration and the welfare of her people, though the burden of governing leaves her exhausted. She is receptive to Mo Bai's strategic advice and personal support 185 186 203.
