Background / History

Gu Yuena resides in a mysterious life-filled space beneath the Lake of Life in the Star Dou Great Forest's core region. There, she appears in her immense Silver Dragon form and is treated with absolute reverence by Di Tian and the forest's other powerful soul beasts. 209

She bears long-standing wounds inflicted by the God Realm, including one from the Asura God's divine artifact, the Asura Demon Sword. The lingering Asura Divine Power prevents her from healing normally, forcing her to slowly suppress the injuries over time. 210

After summoning Liu Xinghan to inspect his rune-based divine power, Gu Yuena recognizes it as likely connected to the Origin Divine Artifact. She believes that the return of the Origin God could allow the laws of Douluo World to be changed, ending the need for Soul Masters to kill soul beasts for Spirit Rings and giving the soul beast race a future free from extinction. 209 211

Liu Xinghan successfully removes the Asura Divine Power from one of her wounds, destroying an Asura divine-sense incarnation in the process. Although the immediate wound heals, Gu Yuena agrees to postpone treatment of her remaining injuries until Liu Xinghan is stronger. 210 212

During a memory-sharing process intended to teach Liu Xinghan how to wield his Silver Dragon summon, Gu Yuena discovers his Divine Artifact Fragments and other secrets. Rather than punish him, she forms a more open alliance with him: she will support his path to godhood, while he promises to seek a future for the soul beast race if he becomes the Origin God. 274
