Dana had just been transferred back from the northern frontier. At that moment, he was riding a Screaming Serpent in circles above Volgograd's training grounds.

As he controlled his mount through rolls and dives, he shouted smugly, startling the recruits below into looking up. For a moment, the training order descended into chaos.

"Dana—" Ang stood at the entrance to the command camp and shouted toward the sky, "Get down here. Come to my office."

After circling twice in the air, the Screaming Serpent slowly descended and landed steadily at the edge of the camp.

Dana leaped down and strode inside.

"Why did you call me down? I haven't even shown those recruits what fear means yet," he grumbled as he pushed open the door.

"Looking at you like that, they're already plenty awestruck. Are you here to train them or scare them to death?" Ang said helplessly from behind his desk.

"I saw a few troublemakers. They won't be easy to discipline." Dana flicked his tail and sat on the sofa, unconcerned. "They need to know who's boss in the army."

"That is the Flame Swordsmen's job. Why are you worrying about it?" Ang said, caught between laughter and tears. "Your task is to intimidate enemies, not frighten your own people."

Dana scratched the pair of thick horns on his head, smacked his lips, and did not argue further.

"Come back to Amnath City with me tomorrow," Ang suddenly said.

Dana raised a brow and looked at him in confusion. "Now? Why are we suddenly going back?"

"The chieftain has returned," Ang said calmly. "You should go see him too."

At those words, Dana's eyes suddenly lit up.

He stood up, his voice rising half a pitch. "That's great! How are we getting back? By teleportation array?"

"Of course."
