When Ang slowly opened his eyes, the first thing he saw was two familiar figures.

Natiya and Quintina were leaning against the bedside, their eyes slightly red, as though they had been watching over him for a long time.

Sunlight streamed through the window and shimmered on the tips of their hair, making them seem especially gentle.

Ang stretched out his arms and gently drew them both into his embrace, planting a tender kiss on each of their soft cheeks. Smiling, he replied, "Don't worry, I'm fine. I was just exhausted."

"Beibei has been taking care of him," Natiya answered softly.

Ang nodded, then threw off the covers and got out of bed barefoot.

The moment he pushed open the door, he saw Beibei sitting beside the bed.

Her hands tightly gripped Dana's, while tears silently slid down her cheeks and fell onto the blankets, spreading faint rings of dampness.
