After lingering atop the ice peak for a while, Ang finally signaled that it was time to leave.

He took a deep breath of the cold, thin air, then, as usual, cast fire magic and released several enormous fireballs, burning away every trace of their lingering presence.

The scorching magic turned into a thick mist in the cold, instantly obscuring every clue that could possibly be used for Tracking.

By the time the mist dispersed, the summit had returned to its pristine state, as though no one had ever set foot there.

When they reached the foot of the ice peak, the four white dogs were still lying quietly on the snow, their snowy fur nearly blending into the surrounding drifts.

The moment they saw Ang and Quintina, they happily pounced toward them, tails wagging excitedly.

Nephres flew from Quintina's shoulder and curiously circled the four white dogs, occasionally drifting close to their noses with her tiny body.

The white dogs were also quite interested in the small ice Elemental Spirit, sniffing at her and occasionally letting out soft barks.

"They really are so well-behaved." Quintina crouched down and stroked one of the white dogs, reluctance in her voice. "Can we take them back to Amnath City?"

Ang glanced at her with some hesitation. "The climate in Amnath City is ultimately different from here. It may not be suitable for them."

Quintina merely smiled faintly, determination flashing in her eyes. "It's fine. I'm an Ice Archmage now. I can use magic to regulate their living environment. They deserve a warmer home."

Ang looked at her, the corners of his mouth lifting slightly. "All right. Once we return to Snow City, I'll buy them." He paused, then added, "It wouldn't be bad to find them two companions, either."
